“Moved my small downtown DC office. Dealt with a man at Straightline named Henry. Actually was able to get a estimate by telling him what I was moving. Estimate was reasonable. Easy to reach on a few details like insurance. Movers were on time and moved quickly. No damage, east to deal with. Recommend!!”

“I've used Bookstore Movers for three moves now during my DC tenure and they are, in a word, amazing. When you submit a request, they get back to you within an hour with an estimate. They are really helpful with everything you need to get done pre-move, the moving truck rolls to your front door exactly on time, and they are quick and efficient but very safe with the move -- everything gets wrapped up and taped up. All in all, we were done with a two-bedroom house move ten miles down the road (farewell, DC) in two hours. 100% recommend.”
“The OMX team was excellent. The pre-move visit and inventory was professional and thorough. Neal certainly set a positive tone for the multi-step move right at the start. The team also accommodated our move on July 5th to take advantage of reduced traffic in the Washington DC area. The hands-on moving team was already at the building when I arrived the morning of the move -- a nice surprise. They were very efficient and careful with our furniture and fragile items. They also took care of dissembling, moving, and disposing of several unwanted items left behind by the previous tenant. This was a HUGE help and saved me several post-move headaches. Our driver, Hassan, navigated the moving truck through tight alleyways without any issues. They handled our furniture and heavy boxes with care and ease. “Jan Carlos, Hugo, and Jerson all did great for our move. We have used Blake & Sons three times and will use them again. They moved for my mother two weeks before ours and I specifically asked for the same moving crew. The majority was the same and I was delighted. A HARD working crew committed to their job. They had to step up and down a 4-floor townhouse with some heavy items and some challenging bringing down and up the narrow stairway, they mastered that. So grateful! (I read in Readers Digest about paying tips to some professionals that I never thought about, so I made sure I paid them this time around. So I suggest you do the same).”
