The same floor as radiology is the same as GYN. The doctors are great but the front desk is the same rudeness and lack of Cultural Competences.Never have any problems ever since I visited Georgetown, Medstart. In fact I have been visiting Georgetown/MedStar since 1998. It is not the doctors it is the staff. I really do not know what to say.

Myra front desk Staff not focused and unprofessional. Myra at the front desk was Misleading. Had me wait a whole hour when she told me i will be seen by 8 am. Then said she was looking at the wrong patient, then looked at my profile. And said i should be seen by 8.It’s 8:33am and i haven’t been taken back yet. I was the first to be in the lobby to checkin and still waiting outside while people who came after me went in first.

Avoid like the plague. Waited an hour and wasn't even called up at radiology. Now I'm out parking and an hour of my life and I have to find somewhere else to get my imaging. Giving one star because I can't give 0

Dr. Graham from audiology hearing and speech center has worked with my family member diligently and constantly to provide the best hearing aid for my aunt who is 81. My aunt has dementia and she is deteriorating rapidly. It has been difficult for the family to keep up with this decline. She recently lost her hearing aids. Dr. Graham had been attentive and understanding to our needd and has always reply and follow up accordingly. I appreciate her efforts and want to leave this pleasant review on behalf of myself and my family.

$416.71 for a few minute consultation with Dr. Brown having in network insurance plan. And then $62.59 for unscheduled 3 minute phone call from the doctor. Ask for their charges before an appointment.

I love my OBGYN but totally agree with other reviewers with how rude and incompetent the front desk staff is. In one of my recent appointments they didn’t check me in right which resulted in a waiting time of >1h with no one giving me any information despite my multiple queries and were extremely rude. The coordination with the lab is terrible too, the lab’s set up leaves no room for patient confidentiality and there is no proper waiting area. The machine + person check in works incredibly poorly. The facility has a lof of potential but needs so much better management and HR mgt.

Avoid using the walk in radiolgy department if at all possible. Despite being the only xray service for all Medstar depts at lafayette (except ortho) they booked a procedure that has closed down their xray services for the morning. Ortho is refusing to provide xray services for walk-in patients. And, as usual, the front desk staff has a complete lack of concern.

Have seen multiple doctors here with only bad experiences. I kept returning in hopes of finding a better doctor because it is conveniently close to my work. All have written off any health concerns I have. The last one I saw seemed to be annoyed that I was there for my annual check up, and when I raised a recurring health issue that I had been having that requires antibiotics multiple times per year and takes me out of work for a month at a time, he told me that “well I don’t know why you’re complaining about it I see patients with cancer it could be way worse.” Then proceeded to tell me my blood work was normal before my blood had even been taken. When I told him this he said “well I’m sure it will be normal.” Spent maybe 5 minutes with me and was completely dismissive. I will not go to MedStar again.

They charge me $2400 for a colonoscopy that was supposed to be completely cover, a year ago. I tried many ways to reach them , even wrote a letter directly to the doctor and she told me I wasn't supposed to pay and will reach the billing department and take care of it.But still nothing was paid back to me. They used a wrong code to send the bills to my insurance company and they know it and still never change anything. And after a year, I involved a company to help me but they completely ignored them too and never responded to them! Few days ago , I received a check of $40.What a joke! I will never go back to medstar because it's not the first time my bills from them are insane!

Awful customer service experience and really disorganized in primary care. I had a 1:40 virtual appointment today and only got the invite to the appointment at 3:25. Consistently have to wait an hour to see the doctor, no ability for follow-ups until a few weeks out, and really bad at answering messages sent through the patient portal. Looking for another PCP because I just can't take it anymore.

Okay.I came online on Monday to find out about parking because I had a Cardio appointment on Tuesday. Then I saw ALL the negative reviews! My heart sank... I had just had a horrible experience at the Ophthalmologist not quite two months yet! How could this be happening to me? I thought about calling my PCP to refer me elsewhere but my appointment was the next day! I braced myself. I will go with a book. The plan would be to go out and read my book, and I would see a cardiologist while I was out. I had to think like that to be able to keep the appointment.Next day, I get to Suite 700. They were attending to two people when I walked in, so I figured that was a good sign. It wasn't long when the third reception was free and began to attend to me. I had checked in and was about to pay my co-pay when the door opened and I heard someone call out what sounded like my first name. Wow, I thought, I have a namesake here. Nobody responded though. She called again. I repeated my name. Yes, she was calling for me. No, I did not sit down in the waiting room at all. They took me in, and everything was great! The nurse did everything and left. I brought out my book to read. Just as I found the page I had left off, I saw a shadow at the door. Sure enough, there was a knock shortly thereafter and it was the cardiologist! Great session. Check out was great. I needed to come back. And that's why I didn't post my review immediately. I didn't want to bias my return visit today, just in case.I was there again today. This time, I did get to sit in the waiting area before I was called in but it wasn't for a long time - probably less than five minutes. I was not left unattended to in any room for any period of time.Everyone I encountered on both visits were very professional and friendly.A big shout out to whoever took all the negative reviews and did something about it. Now, I know this is one floor and there are several other floors in the building. If issues remain in other places, find out what they are doing at Suite 700 and replicate it! And remember, maintaining excellence is just as important as achieving excellence!Good luck!

Hated it! I really should not have rated it at all. I arrived early. I was kept waiting in the lobby for over an hour. When I was called back to finally see the doctor, I was kept waiting another hour.I was asked to remove my pants and put on shorts. I was told that X-rays would be taken. I was very cold so I asked for a blanket, but was given a sheet which was not sufficient. No one ever came into my room during that hour to say the doctor was running behind. As a matter of fact, no one ever told me the wait would be at least two hours In total.I was watching and everyone who came in after I did got waited on before me. EVERYONE! I felt totally taken advantage of and the staff showed no interest. As I waited for Doctor Svoboda,I was very cold and very uncomfortable. I waited so long I fell asleep on the examining room table in the room. When he finally arrived, he came in very loud and commanding. He asked me how I was feeling and before I could finish telling him he was over-talking me. He finally slowed down for a minute and asked, "what did you say"? I told him I was very cold and very uncomfortable. He never apologized for my wait or anything else. He talked the entire time. He never stopped to ask me if I had any questions. He addressed arthritis, however he never mentioned the cyst on the back of my knee until I raised my hand to ask a question. No one had mentioned arthritis so I was wondering why he didn't address the cyst. Again, he proceeded to talk and just bombarded me with information. Again, I raised my hand to ask a question. He said I didn't have to raise my hand, however I felt that was he only way to get his attention. I felt as if he had a game plan when he arrived that did not require my input. He executed his plan and then said goodbye.

I almost didn’t go to this location because all all the terrible reviews , but honestly I went there for an X-ray and MRI and had no issues. The front desk staff were fine. Making appointments and reschedules over the phone was easy . The waiting area was spacious. I was able to get an appointment for an MRI pretty quickly.I rarely leave reviews but wanted to leave a counter experience for those that that might just need an X-ray or mri and we’re looking for a place
