New staff there are so rude. Store also kinda being chaos than before. Last visit there was Sep, ppl were still friendly.

Went to Madewell, tried stuff on, ready to pay. The cashier (Winter) asked me—dead serious—“When are you taking off the clothes you’re wearing so I can ring them up?”
I. Am. Speechless.
This is COS, not your store. A normal employee would ask, “Which items are you checking out?” Instead I got… whatever this was. Basic training, zero. Common sense, also zero.

My fiancée and I came into this store late last night in a total panic trying to find me an outfit for our engagement photoshoot happening today (very last minute I know)! The sales associates couldn't have been more helpful, kind, and positive. They jumped right in and helped me find exactly what I was looking for (I had a very specific vision). It's so rare these days to get this level of customer service, and I'm so grateful for such a wonderful experience! Kudos ladies!

I just went into the men’s section (on Dec 27 in the morning) shopping for a tall friend who wears exclusively tall sizes. We asked the shop attendant if they carry tall sizes in shirts for men and she rudely told me that “men’s sizes don’t work that way.” I later asked her for a jeans size asking for two different size. She responded curtly “what? You said three numbers.” Her overall demeanor was just rude and couldn’t be bothered with me trying to spend money in her store. I worked retail for years and couldn’t imagine treating customers like that.

This review is specifically for Brianna at the Georgetown Madewell location - she is the definition of customer service. As a regular Madewell shopper, I have encountered several issues with their system during checkout over the years. Each time I have 1) lost the deal and had to eat the cost and 2) lost time due to the fault in their system. Until today. Brianna navigated the situation with poise and finesse. As soon as the first associate said there was an issue with my gift card, I knew that I again would end up eating the full cost of my clothes. Brianna stepped in and routed the problem through Madewell’s tumultuous and ineffective customer service system. She was dedicated to finding a solution. While Madewell should devout serious time and attention to rectifying their customer service system, they should also fully recognize the true customer service genius that Brianna is. Thank you Brianna!

I specifically am giving this review about Maisy (I think that is how her name is spelt). She was amazing!!! I needed a good pair of jeans (which is so hard to find today) and she worked really gave me the help I needed. This includes going through the different styles and sizes to help me find a great pair of jeans!! I tried on so many styles and she was honest about which were the best for me and what I felt most comfortable in. The jeans I got are amazing. Even my coworkers commented on how good these jeans look on me. They are good quality and good everyday jeans. I recommend going here and having Maisy help you.

Highly recommend going to the 14th street location over this Madewell location in Georgetown. The team at 14th street is more compassionate and friendly and provide top tier customer service.
