If you want great service, quality tuxedos, and a local business, go to Lustre Formal Wear. Literally a block from the Capitol, Tony and his wife own this business the last many years.Although they do same service without extra charges, I came to Tony a month ahead of a formal wedding. Going on a Friday afternoon, there was no wait. Tony measured, fitted, and built the right tuxedo for me with matching shoes. The cost was around $250.The entire fitting experience took around 20 minutes! If you’re hungry, visit Le Bon Cafe for French toast afterwards.

The great reviews are truly earned. Tony was able to help me get fitted at the last minute (less than one week ahead) for an event and for a reasonable price that I found to be very competitive with some of the larger businesses I could've gone to. He was very professional, helpful and honest with me about what would work best for me. Process couldn't have been easier. When I returned my tuxedo rental, he mentioned they'll keep my measurements on file, and I'm glad, because I'm sure I'll be back.

Cannot say enough good things about Lustre! We used them to tailor my bridal jumpsuit and rent my husband’s tux and our son’s suit for our wedding. They went above and beyond - including staying open late and having their tailor come during off hours - to accommodate our schedule and have everything perfect for our big day.

Can't speak more highly of this establishment. Affordable prices, extremely fast service, and attention to detail simply can't be matched by the big-box outlets. I was taken excellent care of. There were last-minute adjustments I wanted made to my order and they were taken care of immediately. If you're in need of a suit or tux, this should be your first and only stop.

This place is just brilliant. Exceptional quality of material and service. I was served by Tony, who went out of his way to help me with a tux at quite short notice. I had previously tried a few other places downtown is this place is streets ahead!

Fast, friendly and professional service from Tony to get fitted for a tuxedo rental. Was able to pick up the tuxedo and accessories 4 hours after the fitting. Excellent service - and I received compliments on the tuxedo at our function the next evening. Highly recommend this establishment.

Needed a unique tux for an out-of-town wedding and tried Lustre for the first time. Tony did a great job listening to the need, discussing different options, taking the measurements and clearly communicating the process and timing. When I went back to pick up the tux, a slight alteration was still needed to extend the trouser legs and Tony took care of that in the moment. I'd imagine this isn't the least expensive tux rental shop in DC. But I'll return here for sure. The professionalism, expertise and service were all stellar. The process couldn't have been much smoother and the tuxedo itself worked out perfectly. This is a very well run business with excellent customer service.

I had an event come up under 48 hours and I called Tony and he said he could take me right away. My fitting and measurements too under 30 minutes with planned pick up for the following day. Could not have asked for a better experience.

Being the procrastinator that I tend dot be. It was about that time to get the tuxedo for my best friends vow renewal.From the first conversation until picking up my tux, the owners of Lustre are the epitome of professionalism, customer service, compassion and the most down to earth people I have met in a long time, they will tell you the truth regarding the proper fit and how you look in a certain style.I put this tuxedo on last night and stepped out as of it were my own wedding. ( the shoes are mine) but thank you, everything was ???
