This is a Non Profit organization with a million dollar office remodel. Do not donate a dime, car, furniture, not one dime to this non-profit. The COO walks around like she's in a fortune 500 company with her Gucci and Chanel purses, constantly bragging about how she designed the remodel of the office that has two of everything for such a small team. Find another way to support, this office should be closed and the COO and her right hands locked up, under the jail!

Basically a scam. They schedule you and don't show up. It's happened several times. We put 25 boxes out and have to haul them back in. Do not use this for profit company.

I've scheduled a pickup for donation, the driver never showed. They rescheduled for today, and no one, AGAIN, did not pick up the donation. Unprofessional. Will donate to goodwill from now on instead.

Scheduled a pick up online after they solicited me for years for a donation. They never showed up. Called to schedule again, was put on hold for 45 mins before being hung up on. Called back again and was told this time that they didn't pick up in my area. I asked why and was told he didn't know...but I think I do know. . I will find another place to donate to.

I have been donating to Lupus Foundation for the last 6 years. They have always picked up my donations, usually before noon, sometimes by 3 PM.

Got a flyer from LFA in our mailbox, so we scheduled a donation of several items. (scheduled over a month ago BTW) We complied with the instructions, got everything labeled and out in front of our garage at 7AM. They confirmed the day before, we thought all was well. Still no show by 3 PM on the confirmed scheduled date so we called and were told that the "driver was NOT YET yet in our area" and "you ARE on the schedule and they work until 8PM". They never arrived. Luckily we had plastic over everything bc it rained lightly most of the day. We called the next morning and the person who answered said "The driver was there at 1:30PM and said they didn't see anything". We told her that we found this very interesting, since the person we spoke to at THREE PM on the date scheduled had stated that the driver wasn't yet in our area. *crickets* She changed her tune..."Oh. Ok, well you can reschedule!" We declined, told her we were canceling. Unfortunately we missed the AMVET truck, won't be out until next month. We're going to take the stuff ourselves to the local charity...which we would've done in the first darn place, had we not gotten the flyer. Based on all of the reviews about no shows, it seems like this is a long standing issue, and mostly happens when it rains! I can appreciate if you don't want to work in the rain, but don't LIE about it. I am retired and would have been happy to reschedule if I'd been given notice. "Let no good deed go unpunished"

I have been donating to the Lupus Foundation of America for many years. I have always received a reminder call the day before. I have always had a pickup and a receipt. Never had a problem. I've had problems with other organizations not picking up so I will only donate to the Lupus Foundation. A good friend of mine died of Lupus back in 1978 when she was only 13 years old. This is the main reason why I donate to them.

You are instructed to have your boxes ready by 7 am and the pickup will be before dusk. I did not get a call or email stating that I have been rescheduled for next week. Now I'm out of town and items are on the front porch. Would never donate to them again.

I won't be donating to Lupus Pick Up anymore. They tell you to have items out early in the morning.; when it rains things get soaked. They should give a range of time when they will be there so items can be put out in that time period. It's convenient and a good cause, but what is the point if items get ruined waiting for the pickup?
