Leafy park with paths and statues, great view of the White House. Definitely worth a visit while in town. Also can see protesters voicing their views.

Lafayette Square is work stopping by if touring our Nations capital. The surrounding government buildings are also historic and unmatched worldwide images. Please throw out all of the Government employees destroying the good name of this sacred space.

It's the best place to see the White House if you are not a citizen. Sometimes due to security they do cordon off. But mostly it's open. You can put your hand and camera through the fence to get a good picture. Lafayette square is a nice park.
