It's definitely one of the nicest and most varied playgrounds and outdoor recreation areas in the city. But why bother building a new rec center if it's never open? Bathrooms still not accessible.

Great park with lots of equipment for children. Most is for 5-12 but there is also a 2-5 area for the younger ones.

The park itself is lovely. Splash park is small but does the trick. I was excited to go to a park with bathrooms available. Just beware they will not let you use the restroom during camp hours...even if your child really needs to go. So, there are nice bathrooms available....just not during summer days.

This is a terrific park, located next to Lafayette Elementary school. There are four public tennis courts, a basketball court, and several playgrounds in jungle Jim's for the younger kids. There is a baseball field and lots of space to run around.The community uses this park for exercise, fun, walking, and meeting. The cheerful sound of children is almost everywhere on most days.One of DC)'s best parks as far as I'm concerned.

You can find lots of attractions at Lafayette Park. Playground, basketball, tennis are just some of them. Best of all, afterwards, you can enjoy some ice cream at The Broad Branch Market! Enjoy!

I didn't actually go into the recreation center building itself, but the basketball court and the tennis courts and the walking trails and ball fields were all very busy with lots of people lots.
