I walked in. A lot of their merchandise it old looking or expired and they sell their meat frozen. I just don't think they have enough business to have fresher stuff but if you are looking for halal meat in Dc you may have limited options. The guy in nice though.

My first time visiting this store and certainly won’t be my last. The staff is super friendly and helpful, they have a wide variety of Sudanese and Arab groceries that you wouldn’t find elsewhere.

Store is insanely disorganized, but the owner is very friendly & the store has a wide range of items (spices, snacks, teas, lentils & etc) straight from North Africa & India. Despite seeing the other reviews, the prices aren't too bad for DC! Will be coming here more often

I have now on two occasions purchased bad/spoiled products from this store. I once complained and the man looked at the label (which had a date in the future) and shrugged it off. Something is really amiss with the products sold in this store. The quality is very off as if it is dated and no longer safe to eat. I’m very disappointed as I was excited to support my local Arabic market but this place needs to seriously improve the product quality which they carry. Terrible.

The worst experience ever !! We went all the way to get chicken and they gave us the worst rotten stale chicken saying it was fresh !! We came home and it smelled so bad that we threw everything off !!Never going there again !

The workers are very nice and one of the only places to get halal food around the area. It’s small but mighty—plenty of Arab and desi ethnic foods for your needs.
