My baby went here to get neutered. they did amazing my job and have a clinic under a tent on the outside that provide other services and resources. Oh.. and my baby got everything for free (surgery, vaccine, flea and tick meds. my baby wants to add "and a annoying cone" to go round his neck ) due to I dont have much income so if u need affordable care for your baby I highly recommend this place

We adopted our cat on a Sunday and the process was a breeze. Everyone was very kind and attentive and made sure we knew everything before taking him home.We went back Friday morning to drop him off for his neutering surgery. Came back later that evening to pick him up, only to find him and his carrier SOAKED in urine. His back legs, entire tail, and entire lower half of his body was soaked in urine and covered in feces, and he was obviously distressed. We’re not even able to bathe or clean him because of his surgery, and we have to make sure he doesn’t clean himself too much and bother the surgical site. We’re all incredibly distressed and upset by his mistreatment.

The medical facility does not answer calls, and when you leave a messages they do not return the calls either. This is unbelievable, especially from a place that claims they are trying to help the animals in need. I called for two weeks straight and left several voicemails. Even spoke with a lady at the front desk whom informed me that she would send the medical facility an email on my behalf. This is two weeks later and still no response or call back. Thank you for absolutely nothing.

Supervisor very friendly, every work hard at this location! And let me use the restroom. In regards location is very thigh street and don’t have docks, I get unloaded on the estreet. I don’t think they receive donations/merchandise very often in a semi 53!

I adopted a cat a month ago was told she was healthy. She got sick early on. I tried to call over and over again. A couple days later my cat passed a kidney stone and started acting normal. I looked into vets in the area and was trying to find one that would help my cat. A week later she started acting odd again. Later she started peeing blood. I called the shelter again. No answer. no response to voicemail. Within four weeks of me adopting my cat I had to schedule her being put down. If you are willing to be detached for the first few months. Then sure, adopt from this shelter. If you want a pet to love immediately, don’t. Please save yourself the heartbreak.

Lots of animals. They are being taken care of very well with a Vet on site. Friendly staff. They have free pet items when you walk in. The parking lot was just so small I had to wait for some people to leave to get a spot. Its also hard to find. My GPS kept getting very confused and taking me to the wrong location.

(TRIGGER WARNING euthanized cat)This place has put my partner and I through hell. Below are the before and after photos of our (fur)baby along with the email we've sent to the HRA at Oglethorpe. We miss our Katalaya, but she is no longer suffering and the Humane Rescue Alliance is the blame."Hello Humane Rescue Alliance,I am emailing you with great pain and sadness in concern of my late pet, Katalaya, or as your rescue referred to her "Hope." My partner and I were in a previous search for a new family member. We started our search in October and kept coming back to your shelter every week until we found "Hope" or our Katalaya and adopted her after her surgery on November 10, 2023. We made sure to email back for medical records and were informed of a limp she had that was recorded to be benign by the doctors at the facility. We took her home after the surgery and she adjusted to our home just fine. She ate irregularly and threw up a bit, which seemed to be normalized behavior after her type of surgery. We were so excited to have her and fell in love with her so quickly. The third night she started to seem even more fatigued than usual and really kept to herself. She stayed under our bed the whole night and wouldn't come out until morning when she started throwing up. I knew something was wrong so I had my partner call hospitals for emergency care. While on the phone she started drooling and foaming at the mouth. It didn't seem like she was breathing. Spiraling into a panic we put her in her carrier and went to emergency clinics that eventually led us to the Veterinary Emergency Group. As soon as we brought her into their care, they told us this was a tracheal tear and the worst they had seen. They explained that this likely took place during her recent spay surgery. They told us that she was dying and if we wanted to keep her alive we would have to pay around $5,000 for care just for her to have mediocre quality of life. They let us know that this mistake made during her spayed surgery had caused her to suffer for the four days that we had her. Though the option of euthanizing her at your facility was free we could not bring her back to the same place that had sourced all of her pain and suffering. As they tried to give her care to help her calm down we heard her screaming and crying from the separate room we waited in. We had her euthanized at that care center which gave us a bill of $534.94.It has taken me weeks to write this email to you because of all of the pain your mistakes have put us through"
