“I recently stayed at the Conrad in Washington, D.C., and I can’t say enough about the exceptional experience we had! The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, especially for my husband’s birthday. They surprised us by delivering a beautiful cake, a bottle of bubbly, and even candles to our room – such a thoughtful touch that really made our celebration special! Every staff member we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making us feel at home. The attention to detail and the kindness they showed transformed a simple stay into a cherished memory. Thank you, Conrad, for your hospitality and for going out of your way to make our stay so perfect. Highly recommend for anyone visiting D.C. – we’ll definitely be back!”

“This place was wonderful! It's a gorgeous hotel and the food is good as well. The best part is the staff, however. Everyone, including at the front desk, the door (especially Seidou and Dawit), and at the restaurant (Sujata) is very kind. You really feel special. The only comment I have is that it would have been nice to have coffee or a kettle in the room. Thanks all for a wonderful stay!”

“This hotel is a gem. The artistic nature of it makes it very unique. The front desk staff were so attentive and prompt. The room was clean, and spacious. The roof top with the pool is a great place to hangout and network. The location is very convenient. Walking distance to White House and other sites. Will be back!”

“Eaton Workshop DC was the host for a recent two-day conference I organized, and for the most part, it was a solid experience. Working with the conference service manager was smooth sailing, and they were responsive and attentive to our needs. Any issues that popped up along the way were swiftly taken care of once we flagged them to the team's attention. On the day of the conferences, the staff was welcoming and accommodated our needs, which was greatly appreciated. However, there are a couple of areas where Eaton could improve. Firstly, let's talk chairs. We spent two full days in conference spaces with two different types of chairs, and both were akin to sitting on bricks. Investing in some comfier, ergonomic options would do wonders for long events like ours. Secondly, the food. The catering menu left a bit to be desired. Options were limited, and what we did get wasn't exactly top-notch. Even the cookies were disappointingly small, barely bigger than Oreos, which left us scratching our heads. A menu overhaul would be a wise move. Despite these critiques, everything else about Eaton Workshop DC was pretty good. Attendees enjoyed their stay, and surprisingly, the bathrooms garnered quite a positive buzz. So, if you're looking for a venue with impressive lavatories, Eaton's got you covered.”

“AMAZING SERVICE FROM STAFF!! Everyone was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are very very small (smaller than downtown Toronto, I wish I'd checked the square footage) and the walls are thin. It was really hard to get to bed, as DC is a booming area, and we heard a lot of fighting and police cars all hours of the night.”

“Lovely stay at The Melrose Hotel. The room was well decorated, clean, and comfortable. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Mohammed was especially helpful - storing our bags in the back room after check out while we went to breakfast. Our car was parked out front upon our return. Mohammed then loaded our bags in the car . Thank you for the great service!”

“Good usable hotel with a few restaurants, shops and CVS in neighborhood.

The rooms are OK but a little bit small for the price. Specially that there is no possibility to store not hanging clothes in the wardrobe makes me wondering? If you had to stay threre for more than an few days, you get in trouble with this. No shelves for t-shirts, underwear,.. You have to have it in your luggage or on desk? Crazy.

The personal is very friendly and the breakfast in "Gerards Kitchen" is very expensive, but good.

All together it was OK but almost to expensive for everything in the hotel.

The best was the ? shower head, what works very good, hot and really enough water. The best shower I had in DC in the past 10 years!

Rooms: Small but OK, very good shower.

Walkability: Next to a few shops, stores and restaurants. 10 by walk away from white house, Washington mall and "Black lives meters Plaza"

Food and drinks: Good dining and breakfast, but expensive in "Gerhards Kitchen"”

Walkability: Easy walk down to the National Mall. Spy museum literally next door.”

“Great place to stay, will more than likely stay here again when going back to DC. It’s in a great spot for restaurants and so close to the metro. Something to be aware of that is common in the city is they have valet parking at a price, and while there are parking garages/lots around as well, it still was between the $30-40 range over night. For me this was not a dealbreaker as I had anticipated this beforehand. When it comes to breakfast they have a restaurant downstairs or you can get room service to the room. We got the room service, which was a little bit on the pricey end, but only had a $5 delivery charge to have it sent to the room.

Nearby activities: Lots of things to do nearby as far as restaurants and local attractions.

Walkability: Very walkable to the surroundings and easy quick access to the metro station.”

“5 stars across the board for this hotel- the room was unbelievable. Completely spotless, and just stunning all over. I was upgraded to the pres suite, the team at the Hyatt really took good care of me.The breakfast was top notch (I’m not even a breakfast person) and they took good care of my vegan cousin as well. Above and beyond with most things. I didn’t get to use the gym or the pool but stopped by it seemed to be decent enough for a good workout. The linens felt crisp and fresh, the pillows the perfect density. Bed was very comfortable.I used my 4 pm check out to take meetings and work from the room. The best part might’ve been the bathroom, honestly. Staff were friendly and truly helpfulAlso location is fantastic, by GW and George Town and walking distance to the Lincoln memorial and the rest of the park”

“This is a lovely boutique hotel in a great location at Pennsylvania and I Street. It looks and feels and is warm and cosy. It has a great little restaurant and delightful bar/lounge. My bedroom was large with a separate sitting room and bathroom. It was a very comfortable bed with excellent pillows. It had a well stocked mini bar and desk to work from with great WiFi. The front of house staff are delightful, particularly the very helpful doormen! I'll be back!”

The rooms were cozy and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay in the heart of the city. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Washington DC.Rooms: The rooms were very spacious and well-appointed providing a cozy atmosphere.Food & drinks: The food and drinks here were really delicious and authentic in taste.”

“I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hyatt, and it truly exceeded all expectations. The hotel offers a wide array of top-notch amenities, making it a destination in itself. From various dining options, there’s always something to enjoy without even leaving the hotel. We had so much to do right within the property, it made our stay incredibly convenient and relaxing.

One of the highlights is the direct access to the metro station within the hotel, which made exploring the city a breeze. It was so convenient to hop on the metro and get anywhere we wanted to go in just a few minutes.

Overall, I highly recommend the Grand Hyatt for anyone looking for a perfect blend of luxury, convenience, and comfort. I can’t wait to return!”

“rooms could use an update. Had a broken handle in the bathroom (was solved when told). Had to ask for a mini fridge otherwise it’s not in the room. Maid service kind of done in a half effort. Great location, great food in the restaurant, great predisposition from the staff at the reception desk.

Nearby activities: Great shopping district

Safety: Super safe neighborhood

Walkability: Not very near from the national mall and main museums but a short bus ride away”

“EXCELLENT choice for a stay with children. Our king bedroom had a door between us and the mini kitchenette and living room, which gave us plenty of extra space as well as an area to block off so our 4 month old wouldn't be woken up by the light. Nightly happy hour is a lot of fun (my husband went without me once when I wasn't back from my conference yet and ended up getting a double pour of wine since the bartender thought our kid was cute). There's a large number of selections for breakfast including made-to-order omelets. The metro stop is a short walk away. Staff were super friendly and people were walking up to ask if we were Zoe's parents by the end of the trip. I'll happily stay here again. You get significantly more space and more free food/benefits than other hotels of similar price in the area.”

“I stayed in this hotel for a short weekend trip and I was very pleasantly surprised with the level of comfort mixed with modernity that citizenM offers. The rooms felt pretty luxurious with the ability to use an iPad to control the entire room’s lighting, shades/blinds and TV. It felt very similar to the experience you get in a Virgin Voyages Cruise ship. The entire side of the bed was a giant window, bringing in light and a decent view from outside. A room for two with a king bed is relatively small, but the space is so well utilized and decorated that it wasn’t even an issue. The hotel has a very young and trendy vibe, which is very refreshing compared to the hotels I’m used to. The views from the balcony are incredible as well, overseeing both the Capitol and the Washington monument. The service from all the staff in the hotel was very polite and down to earth. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting DC, I would definitely come back!”

“Pleasant house in a nice neighborhood. 12 minutes walk from the metro which will allow you to see the monuments and museums.Room 401 very good with a good bed.My only regret is that for me a host adapts to his Guest and there I pointed out that we had to leave at 7:15 a.m. and that 8 a.m. was too late to be able to eat something but we got up and left without even eating anything a banana or an apple even though I still paid more than €300 per night with breakfastRooms: Very good good beddingNearby activities: A little outside the metro center 12 minutes awaySafety: Very secure neighborhoodNoteworthy details: Breakfast not before 8 a.m. in self if you want eggs or something else it's 8:30 a.m. and finished at 9 a.m.”

“Spent a week at the Rosewood in Georgetown, DC. Overall, it's a semi, almost-but-not-quite solid luxury choice with a central location that's perfect for exploring the city. The standout feature was definitely the exceptional service provided by the staff.

The only drawbacks were the mini carton waters, which tasted disappointingly like cardboard, and the slightly bizarre, not-hot-but-lukewarm water, shower experience. On the upside, the tub by the window was a delightful win, offering a relaxing retreat with a view. Despite these minor quirks, I'd still consider returning for the location and overall comfort.

Rooms: My corner room was spacious and featured a love seat and a chaise-lounge. Maybe better offerings at the minibar? The espressos machine is a win.

Walkability: Exceptional.

Food and drinks: Puck’s CUT restaurant downstairs..feel free to miss it or give them another try, for me. Not a great night for them, the time I went in. It was pandemonium amid a see of a seemingly calmed Wednesday night. Cocktails were better than the food.

Noteworthy details: Small hotel.”

“The location for this hotel is great as it's super close to all of the sites you would want to see in Washington. You can also get lucky on the weekends and find free street parking. However, don't expect for it to be a nice high end hotel it might appear to be on their website. The lobby area is nice but the rooms looked like a bad real estate flip. Something that was done in a rush and as cheap as possible. The breakfast room was a complete mess. The way they designed this space was not ideal or they just didn't think there would be more than 6 people at a time eating there on a weekend. The food was an average free continental breakfast but people kept bumping against each other trying to make a line to get food and against those that had already gotten their food and were trying to sit and eat. Giving it 4 starts just because of service and location but wouldn't stay here again.”

“It's near the station. There are no transfers from the airport, and you can reach the hotel in about 30 minutes. There is a Starbucks and a restaurant inside the hotel. In the morning, Starbucks is so crowded that even the seats at the entrance are filled. You can also order meals in your room. The price wasn't that high either. In the room, there were drinks in plastic bottles for each person, as well as coffee and tea.Amenities included body cream, hand soap, provided shampoo, treatment, and body soap.As a service, cucumber water and lemon & lime water are available near the elevator. However, it didn't seem to be replenished and it seemed like it was running out by 5pm.You can keep your luggage in the closet before check-in and after check-out.Check-in time is 16:00, but you may be able to enter your room at 2:00 pm without any additional charge, and if you are before 2:00 pm, you may be able to enter your room with an additional charge. The front desk staff was also polite and pleasant.I think it's a convenient location to go to the White House and the National Mall.I would like to use it again the next time I go to Washington DC.”

“A nice hotel! But it’s definitely not 5 stars, I think this is more like 3 stars. There’s no parking available, the rooms are decent size but the decor is not very inviting. I will say the location of the hotel is great walking distance to all landmarks. Service was great.”

3.9 Good195 Reviews

“Hotel very well located, the room with a view keeps its promises, beautiful bathroom, clean and spacious room, good bedding but the size of the beds is quite small. I think 140cm. Very warm welcome on arrival each morning and upon departure we were offered a donut or a healthy snack. Another small downside was that the air conditioning was a little noisy and we could hear the sirens at night.”
