I have been a patient of Dr. Garr since March 2011. I love going to the facility on G Street Northwest in Washington, DC, because the staff are awesome. My wait time to see the doctor is very very short and my exams are swift an accurate.....in and out. Also, the facility is always clean. I appreciate them all. *****

My experience at the Eye Doctor on G Street was awful, borderline fraudulent. 10/10 would NOT recommend. They are all smiles when they are getting you to pay but the second something goes wrong, their nasty side comes out.Despite clearly requesting a basic eye check-up, I ended up with an unexpected charge and poor service.I arrived for my appointment, having specified that I only required a simple eye examination, whether for glasses or contacts. Repeatedly, I confirmed this with multiple staff members, who assured me it wouldn't be a problem. However, upon seeing the doctor, I found myself rushed through the examination due to their tardiness and my own time constraints.To my surprise, after I express my need to leave for a meeting, I was handed a pair of contacts and asked if they felt okay. Feeling rushed, I quickly agreed and left to settle the bill. Unfortunately, upon returning later that day to pay, I was hit with a bill of over $170.The explanation? Apparently, I had undergone a "contacts fitting" that I explicitly declined. Despite my protests and insistence on only needing an eye exam, they insisted that a contact exam necessitated a fitting, and I was forced to pay the inflated fee.To make matters worse, my attempts to address the issue with them were met with frustration. They consistently reached out to me at inconvenient times, only to conveniently disconnect the call or ignore my subsequent attempts to reach them.Basically, what began as a routine eye check-up turned into a costly and frustrating with no accountability. I'm currently in the process of disputing the charges and hope for a resolution soon.

They had my eye glasses on January 4 didn’t get them back until February no one call to give me a update I was told in two weeks and then January 23 still nothing I’m very disappointed because they never gave me a update the manager said she would call my insurance to see if I could get something until then and she would call me back and didn’t I’m wearing old glasses that are hurting eyes and affect my work .

The experience of coming here is less like a doctor's visit (where people are supposed to care) and more like being at a car dealership where it's all about the money (no offense to car dealerships; at least they don't pretend to be doctor's offices).

After a bad experience at an eye doctor in Gallery Place, I was pretty nervous to come in and get my eyes checked. Dr. Garr and staff were incredibly amiable and professional and made sure to answer any questions I had. Prices were lower than other places, too. Great job and see you next year !

Charmaine and Rex did an awesome job assisting my Husband and myself as we chose frames. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and thank them for using their expertise to help us.Dr. Dalia Elkassabany did an excellent job explaining to me her proposed treatment plan, answering my questions and ensuring we were well taken care of.

In DC for work. Dropped my glasses on the street Friday afternoon. They were able to make me a replacement stat to help me see enough to get me over the weekend and Monday, Truly life savers! Rex is the man!

This was my first time at this location. Dr. Julia Garr was phenomenal. She took time to throughly explain what was happening with my eyes and helped me make informed decisions. Will definitely be back.

Dr Garr is great, she's the best eye dr I've ever met with and has been helping me with my dry eye problems. She is organized, helpful and I feel like she really listens to me and makes thoughtful recommendations. Would highly recommend!

The staff here are so kind and welcoming! I tend to have lots of anxiety around medical visits, but this place made me feel calm and at home from the moment I walked in. I’d recommend this place to anyone! This is definitely going to be my regular office :)
