MIke is in charge, and he is the one to ask for. I had a driver's side front tire that slowly kept deflating and so I stopped by to have it checked out. They found a nail! It was plugged and I was on my way in a little over an hour. Be sure all is in order before leaving. My dash light kept indicating a tire was low. Mike insisted I stay until all was correct and made right. They checked all my tires, and all was well. No more nails. I feared maybe another tire also had a nail. I paid around $30.00 for the service. This is a very busy place and one should make an appointment for an oil change which will be my next reason to go over. They really want to do a good job for you there and the neighborhood really supports their much needed efforts. We need good honest mechanics at a reasonable price.

In addition to the extortionate gas prices, they now charge for air: $1.50 for 4 minutes. Didn't take long for the new owners to repudiate the friendly, neighborhood feel.

They closed the business. They didn't provide great or friendly service and were still providing Full Service. No surprise here.

Pumps don't work at night, prices are by far the highest in the area, and these pumps are the slowest ever. This everything you would hate from a gas station, plus some more, all rolled into one. Literally go anywhere else.

Do NOT take your car here, especially if you are younger and/or a woman. I have an older car and these guys tried to convince me that it was going to break down any second and that I needed to make $5,000 worth of repairs (I only paid $4k for the car). Their estimate consisted primarily of overpriced routine maintenance, which Mike tried to convince me was critical. I got a second opinion from a more reputable mechanic and they said there was NOTHING wrong with my car and that it just needed some grease! These people are scammers and looking to make a quick buck. Avoid at all costs.

I was recommended to Spring Valley Exxon through a close friend who has been using them for over decade. They were willing to work with my budget, provide me with a list of work that is needed on my car but doesn't need to be done right away. As a female it is good to honest garage that understands their customers have budgets and not try to sell you services that are not required.

With the market, embassy row, and the VP's residence at the Naval Observatory just a block away. parking is ample and free and you can call or pull in and aside from gas that is always on average with the other in city stations, get your car checked for thr trip. I took a tire there yesterday, they plugged it, and unhappy that the tire was just too damaged, they charged me nothing and mounted and balanced a used 16 on my impala for a 20 dollar tip. I had friends to drive to the hospital as they are not familiar with the city and were far from home and they were wonderful. Never would have made it back without them. Of the harsh NYC like attitudes at many DC businesses, they are wonderful here. I'll always service my car here when travelling the east coast, it's half way, and a good excuse to to walk to the mall, the Embassies of the Row directly across, and the finest foods and coffee. Take the mechanic a cup when you buy yours at Wagshalls in the same parking lot. They deserve it.

25 cents over the gas station across the street, just capturing people separate for gas before the highway, problems getting pump to accept credit, hard to enter and exit.

This place is a rip-off for gas! Buyer beware.

If you'd like the most expensive gas in the DMV, this is a good option. It does have a full service lane tho. That's pretty rare.

A friend of mine dropped off a mercedes sedan with a flat tire to be fixed. One of the technicians examined the tire and told my friend that the tire couldn't be fixed but replaced. He also told my friend that it is not recommended to replace just one tire, but the 4 of them (which means around $1,000). I suggested my friend to pick up the car and don't agree with the proposal. I fixed his tire using a flat tire kit repair bough from CVS and inflated it with a small air compressor connected to cigarette lighter socket. Yesterday my friend took the car to Mercedes dealer which checked the car and stated that the rapair was well done and no need to replace any tire. Based on our experience we suggest to be aware and don't trust this people, but get a second opinion before agreeing with any repair proposal.
