Aesthetic: 5/5 Classes: 5/5 Parking: 3/5 - they validate for ~2 ish or so hours in which you pay $5. This parallels the aesthetic quality of the Wisconsin Avenue equinox. It's modern, gorgeous, clean. This place lives up the Equinox standard of luxury. The overall age group of the other members are on the younger end compared to Tyson's corner Equinox. It's equally as friendly but I would say more crowded for the hours I went. Three floors: - Bottom: Locker rooms, shower area - Entrance floor: a smoothie/quick eat bar on the right. Some couches and coffee tables - Top floor: fitness area with the classes Study area? There's a lounge ish area with tables but it's not an easy place to study if you're using a laptop. The coffee tables are knee height. A big portion of what I care about are aesthetics and parking. Unfortunately, this place doesn't have day long validated parking. It's a great option for those who have easy access to the metro!

Personal Training Overpriced and Not Worth It. I have been an Equinox member since 2009 and since 2021 at Anthem Row. Over the past year and a half in addition to being a member, I have also done some personal training, spending on average $550 a month towards my fitness. Personal training is an investment and Equinox promotes itself as hiring the best in the business. I disagree. Very few trainers at this location are truly qualified if you are someone who is very serious about training. Nonetheless, Equinox charges a premium to work with them. I thought I had one of the more qualified trainers; however, I recently underwent a very sudden and acute medical crisis which required multiple trips to the ER and a hospitalization. Prior to that, I had no medical issues and have been in peak fitness. My trainer knew I had been in an ER. Instead of coming up to me and asking me how I was doing the day after, he spent his time working out on the gym floor. I had text him about the acute injury I suffered. That text was ignored. He finally responded some texts a week later after I requested to cancel some sessions. And when I text further that I had been hospitalized, he never responded to that text at all. Some weeks earlier, while demonstrating an exercise to me, this trainer strained a pectoral muscle. He stopped our session to find a client of his who was a nurse because he was so anxious about it. He cancelled the remainder of our session that day so he could rest. The next time I saw him at the club, I checked with him to make sure he was okay. I showed more respect, care and concern for this employee's well-being than was shown towards me -- a paying customer. What all this demonstrated to me is how little this trainer is invested in his job and in his client's health. No genuine concern for someone's well-being. I can't imagine had I been texting to set up more training sessions, he would have been responsive. This is the type of person Equinox employs and my feeling about Equinox is it's no better than Planet Fitness, but for the splashy marketing -- which is probably where all the money is spent. If you can't hire people who genuinely care about your client's health -- which is your sole mission as a company -- you have failed.

cutting/consolidating even more classes since COVID. the spin studio bikes are just a few inches apart so it's pretty gross when the classes are full. most recently just cut a Sat morning class (consolidated it w/ later class that is usually 80%-90% full already. with dues close to $200/month it's hard to justify this customer experience. have been a member since it opened and the staff is very nice! love the gym, but whoever is making this strategy for reduced classes that need to be 100% full (similar to awful airline strategy we've all experienced) needs to consider customer experience more. hope they change this. having morning classes on weekend is important.

overcrowded classes compounded by the leadership consolidating classes--so the ones that have a reasonable number of people get cancelled. very similar to airline industry strategy (horrible customer experience). for the dues we pay, there should be many classes throughout the day, some less than 100% capacity (especially the spin classes where bikes in a very small studio are about 3 inches apart--you can barely walk around the studio it's so overpacked w/ bikes.

My experience with Equinox has not been rewarding. This gym changes its policies so frequently that it's impossible to keep up. The first time I freezed my membership, I had to pay a fee per frozen month. The second time I freezed it, I was charged the total membership fee, without even being notified that the rules of the game had changed and now I had to pay the total amount and I would be refunded the difference between the freeze fee and the membership at the end of the first year. Then, when I had to freeze my membership for the third time, I encountered another set of unexpected fees: the fee corresponding to the three frozen months in advance, along with a prorated upfront charge for the next membership fee. Every time I try to do something as simple as freezing my membership, Equinox finds a new way to surprise me with hidden and unexpected charges. But that's not all, communication with the staff is a complete disaster. How many times did I send unanswered emails, only to have to personally go to the gym and deal with a manager who wasn't even available? It's frustrating and a total waste of time. And let's not even mention the time I tried to get information about changing my plan and ended up being downgraded without even asking for it.Equinox boasts of being the "temple of well-being," but in my experience, it's quite the opposite. Their lack of professionalism and effective communication has cost me time, money, and unnecessary stress. I don’t recommend this gym. It's time to find a place that truly cares about its customers and their well-being, something that Equinox clearly doesn't do.

I love this location! I've been a member at Equinox for around six months and love coming here. The front desk greeters are so cordial, managers are helpful, and the gym floor is always clean. This Equinox has the best showers, so be sure to stop there before you leave.

I attended this location of Equinox as a guest of a current member, and I was impressed by the quality of the space and service. I get the hype now. I used cardio equipment, weights, and attended a restorative yoga class. The equipment was all in good shape and clean, and I love the instructor for the yoga class - it left me in a perfect mood in the middle of the workweek. The locker room was very clean, and the showers were spacious and stocked with Kiel's products. Everyone I interacted with was friendly, and while other reviews complain about it being too crowded, I had no issue accessing equipment at 7pm on a weekday.

Equinox Anthem Row is a sleek, modern gym in DC, standing out as one of the more visually appealing Equinox's. The clean facility has a nice smoothie bar with tasty protein shakes, although some options may be hit or miss. The consistently friendly and helpful service from staff add to the positive atmosphere. A variety of engaging classes are available. The $5 parking validation is a plus. There are the usual Equinox perks, from steam rooms to Kiehl's products in the showers, making it a well-rounded fitness experience.

Terrible setup. Half the gym unused, other half crowded and always waiting for a bench. One of the only two flat bench presses “out of order” for a week+

I’m visiting from NYC. The staff was friendly, locker rooms clean, the equipment was well taken care of and plenty of space to work out. Loved the size of the steam room. The thing I couldn’t get over was the god awful stench on the first floor and parts of the second. I really had to hold my breath. Blows my mind that a high end club would allow something so nasty to ruin their members experience.

just moved to DC from LA and was considering moving my membership to this location... Definitely not going to do it. The steam room was not hot at all, and when I called to complain about it they said it was on the regular setting. There was also low water pressure and no cold water in the showers. At this point i'm either canceling my membership or pausing it until the winsconsin ave location opens

Went in to try it out before getting a membership. Have me sign up, only to tell me I can do a tour and a “needs assessment” but I would have to schedule a different day to come back and try the facility ?
