HIGHLY recommend this place. I’ve tried many other workout classes, this place is head and shoulders above them all.Workouts have a good balance of strength training and cardio and they mix in a lot of athletic movements. It can challenge the best of athletes, but is also approachable for beginners, in large part because of the excellent instructors. They know their stuff and willingly help with form and adjustments. Instructors also seem to really enjoy it and that makes it fun.

Brilliant studio. Elevate trains you like an athlete and will push you to create a fitter version of yourself. Great sessions with experienced and attentive coaches. David has also created a great culture where everyone is welcoming and pushes each other. Cannot recommend highly enough.

David's instructing, programming and studio is world class to say the least! Quality workouts, incredible atmosphere, top notch equipment and super inspiring and supportive community! I would highly recommend Elevate Fitness to anyone from novice to elite!

Elevate is a fantastic gym that will provide you with a HIIT workout and leave you sweating by the end of class. The class is divided into two different parts strength and cardio. The equipment and machines are very nice and high quality. I really enjoyed the class and there are TVs set up showing you the workout. The instructor and staff were very helpful and nice. Gave me a rundown on the machines and what to expect during class. I highly recommend checking out this place if you are in DC. You will get a great workout, meet like minded people, while using top notch equipment.

I enjoy the functional high-intensity interval training (hiit) classes at this gym! These circuit training workouts begin with an active warmup. Next, you select your starting station and rotate from circuit to circuit to complete exercises targeting different muscle groups. Everyone rotates to each station 2-3 times during the one-hour workout. I've taken both Hannah and Eric's functional hiit classes. Both classes provided me a wonderful endurance and strength training workout with enough variety and challenge to keep me engaged. I preferred Eric's class since he provided more supportive individual coaching to everyone in the class, ensuring we were lifting, bending, or rowing correctly to avoid injury. The workouts change from class to class so that no two classes are the same. You can expect your workouts to consist of a mix of weightlifting, squats, rowing, biking, planks, step ups, and work with the TRX ropes. You may also run on the treadmill or engage in medicine ball squat throws. The TRX ropes can get a little damp in between intervals if someone from the previous rotation has sweaty palms. Class participants are supposed to wipe down the equipment at the end of class, but that doesn't always happen. If you love a challenging workout and friendly competition, then this might be the workout for you.

My favorite place for an amazing workout!! I know I will be challenged in elevate fitness. Great location with awesome treadmills/equipment as well as lockers and showers. I have tried many studios in the area and this is my top pick for a real full body workout.

Elevate is a very challenging workout! Unlike other HITT studios, Elevate incorporates aspects of CrossFit into their program. The right instructor is pivotal for your success here.I strongly recommend taking Maureen as your instructor! She is absolutely dynamite!!Maureen is deeply passionate about fitness and dedicated to your success in class! While pushing you to reach your max effort, she’s personable, knowledgeable, and cares how athletes execute the workout. During class Maureen will encourage you to push harder by dropping off heavier weights or pushing you to up the speed on the treadmill and she’ll coach you when she notices your form is off. A class with Maureen is not to be missed!PS - There are occasionally dogs available to pet before and after class!!!!

The world is better on my Elevate days. I am better. Their HIIT and Run workouts give me endorphins like no other workout. The choreography is smart, has the variety to keep me interested and working hard, and is adaptable to all fitness levels. The instructors are effective and good humans. The management continues to participate in a silent auction for a homeless organization years after I first asked them too. If you want to get fit, happy, and be in a well-managed, thoughtful gym, come here. I am a founding member and have been to scads of gyms over my decades as a healthy holistic human. This truly is the best.

I have been going to Elevate for years. Great HIIT workout - similar to Barry’s, Orange Theory, etc. - but less pretentious. The instructors are all awesome.

Solid and diverse community of athletes from all levels. I belong to a regular gym but I need the motivation from trainers and group fitness classes. I learned about Elevate randomly from watching television last month when gym owner David discussed good fitness habits on Good Morning Washington. The workout routines that he and his team develop are creative, effective, and push my limits. Glad I joined. Eric, David, and Chandler- thank you.

This is such a special studio.I have been coming here for a little over 2 years. Each coach has their own style but similar passion towards health. It's the little things that help make this studio stand out. They tend to do more partner workouts than comparable studios, but it feels intentional and a way they can help foster a positive atmosphere and help people feel more comfortable. Just as the coaches are different from each other, so are the people who attend the class. Sometimes at other places (like Barry's or OTF) the population tends to be a bit more homogenous, but I appreciate there's usually a mixed bag of DC folks in the class.Everyone works at their own pace/level, but there's plenty of people just beginning to get into hiit vs diehards (my first class - which I died at - was next to a 7 month pregnant woman who was by all definitions killing it). There's more honest instruction about form (particularly by Jamel!). Give this place a try!!!!

This place is the bomb...David and his crew push you to the limits and keep you accountable in your workouts. Never felt out of place despite not being in the best of shape. Highly recommend!
