Anyone who says that DC doesn't have good vintage shopping clearly has not stopped by this place! I feel so lucky to live a few blocks away from this hidden gem and I've picked up some great pieces including a leather jacket and a red flapper dress. Veronica, who runs the place, has the kindest heart and best taste of any store owner I've ever known. Whether you've lived in DC your whole life or are just here for a weekend trip, 11/10 would recommend stopping by El West - you won't be disappointed.

I just stopped by this place since it was a little chilly outside. The proprietor, Charlie, could not have been nicer. I quickly found a jacket and he rung me up with a discount when I told him this was my old neighborhood. I used to live in 16 Street Heights and went to school at Sacred Heart in Mount Pleasant. I was then able to quickly rejoin my family at Purple Patch to celebrate Mother’s Day. Thanks for the excellent customer service!
