Mr. Compton has done a suberb job of maintaining my red -gold -faced 1944 Bulova watch, including after I accidentally went swimming with it on. As soon as I realized that I took it off amd hightailed it to Mr. Compton, a true craftsman. I beleve it's one of his nephews has a shop in Bethesda where I get my German box clock serviced. This is a family of superb clocksmiths, a tradition that is disappearing and one that I have cherished for 40 years.

Very very hard to find. There is zero signage in their block, or on their floor etc. Once you manage to find your way here they provide a good service.

I moved from DC to PA 20 years ago but worked in the building on G Street where Comptons was located. My engagement ring came from there 40 years ago. Never married the guy but still love the ring and wear it every day. Susan was amazing and it sounds like she still is. I'm so glad this family owned business is still around.

They're so good at what they do, fixed my watch thag was pretty beat up and made it look great. The kind of store where you can trust the staff to be fair, professional, and timely. Awesome family owned store !!!

Fast and efficient service with a very fair price. I have been here twice for minor repairs/fixes and was out within 20 minutes both times. Highly recommend!!

Replaced my watch battery for quick & cheap. You have to take the elevator behind the glass doors (the first ones only go to parking) and then go inside the 'Suite 500' space near the elevators. The front desk there will show you where the shop is.

This is the nicest little shop. It's a little hard to find — it's inside of a office on the 5th floor of a downtown building. But they repaired a watchband for me for free — no charge. Definitely will be using them when I have other needs.

Got the absolute loveliest pair of earrings from here today! The service was friendly, attentive, and kind! You'll need to take the elevator to the 5th floor but it's definitely worth the short commute! Plan on coming back next time I'm in town!

First time visiting this jeweler to shorten two necklaces right before a big trip. Susan took care of me and was warm and efficient. She had my items ready within an hour’s time! Also very reasonably priced. Thank you!! :-)

They replaced a battery for me at a great price but two days later I noticed that there was moisture building up on the glass in front. I looked at the back of my watch and noticed that the back wasn't placed back properly... Replacing a battery is the most basic repair.

Very good store! I have a missing buckle for my watch while traveling. And the lady in the store just find a similar one to me and fix it, with no fee charges. I really thank them for help and definitely will recommend other people to stop by at this store. I should know this store since this has been my fourth year living in DC. I am so lucky that I decided to go today.

Went in here to get my watch repaired. All the sudden it just stopped working though I had gotten the battery replaced months before. I stepped in and someone was immediately there to help me. He popped it open, found the loose item, put it all back in place, and returned it to me within a minute for no charge. Everyone was very kind in the shop, and the watch is back and working like new!
