“I was looking for a new place to get African fabric for a better price and more prints I ran across this business on goggle the reviews were mixed but I am so glad I went this place is a paradise for fabric and all things in-between!!!! Be ready to spend some times because it's so stuff!!! It can be a bit overwhelming but take your time they have several people their to help it is a small space it's pretty organized and the prices OMG!!!! You can't beat them they are so reasonable!!! I will definitely be making this my new go to place for fabrics and other sewing needs”
“This was my second time visiting The Phoenix. Very cute shop with a unique inventory. I was able to find a cute gift for my brother. I do agree with other reviews, the employees watch you as a hawk, but I just ignore them. The cashier was very nice and even offered to pack the gift, free of charge! I will the wrapping paper would have been Christmas colors instead of a bright yellow. Most items are on the expensive side. Still, I'll be returning... probably for Mother's Day.”
“I loved my experience shopping at Jaryam. The boutique has beautiful high quality lingerie and clothing from around the world and you get real one-on-one helpful and knowledgeable shopping advice and care. Maryam is friendly, funny and has expert advice. She put my purchases in sturdy little cloth bags to protect the fine materials and offered me water to drink. I felt like I was at home with a friend. Highly recommended! Support local businesses, quality over quantity!”

“I had such a good experience at this Madewell this afternoon! Last weekend I had an unfortunate encounter at Georgetown Madewell, where the sales rep kept insisting I should buy jeans that just didn’t fit me. I ended up having to order online in a size up. I decided to come to 14th street instead of Georgetown to return the I’ll-fitting jeans. Despite having a complicated return request, the team on 14th street were super kind and patient. Just a really lovely staff! I look forward to shopping here again!”
“Fun place to shop. If you like quality in your clothing this brand exceeds expectations. My issue is that they are seasonal and they sell out quickly so when I see something online, I head in to try it on while they have it in stock (the 1-year return policy is real!). The staff is very friendly, engaging but not in your face. Gary - the manager - and his assistant - Nestor - really know how elevate the shopping experience. One thing, stick to clothes, your dining recs were really not on point - Chicken + Whiskey is not a great date spot. I'll keep coming back to the slub tee's though..”
“If you're looking for a fantastic tailor, unique, beautiful clothing pieces, or gorgeous shoes, Everard's is 100% the place to be. I had an $800, fully sequined, jumpsuit tailored at Everard's Clothing. I thought this would take at least 3 days to alter. They called the next day to let me know it was ready. It fits like a glove and looks absolutely perfect! I'm from the deep south and since moving to DC (almost 4 years ago), I have rarely experienced such kindness and hospitality as what Everard's Clothing has shown me. I'll always be a costumer from now on!”

“The salesperson/manager at my local store, in my opinion, is arrogant and rude. I was turned off to the brand. Harley changed this. I'm in DC regularly. I was introduced to Harley by a friend and his service level is top notch. I can call/email him about an item that I am looking for and he will provide me details and color options. He is knowledgable and has amazing personal style. I recently went to Finland and was stylish and warm in my Loro. When I want to purchase a Loro item Harley is my go to. I know that I will receive excellent service.”

“This review is specifically for Brianna at the Georgetown Madewell location - she is the definition of customer service. As a regular Madewell shopper, I have encountered several issues with their system during checkout over the years. Each time I have 1) lost the deal and had to eat the cost and 2) lost time due to the fault in their system. Until today. Brianna navigated the situation with poise and finesse. As soon as the first associate said there was an issue with my gift card, I knew that I again would end up eating the full cost of my clothes. Brianna stepped in and routed the problem through Madewell’s tumultuous and ineffective customer service system. She was dedicated to finding a solution. While Madewell should devout serious time and attention to rectifying their customer service system, they should also fully recognize the true customer service genius that Brianna is. Thank you Brianna!”
