After being a new customer for 4 months, I have not been impressed with the overall quality and experience with CITI Bank. While the people at the branch are friendly and professional, they seem to have trouble fulfilling basic services in the actually branch office (e.g., processing transfers, ordering debit card). Online service through the app and online has been rather clunky and inconsistent. I’ve had some ATM issues as well. I’m now highly regretting leaving my previous bank that I was with for nearly 30 years. I’m tempted to go back. Do better, CITI Bank!

These guys are not capable of their job. Went there a couple of months ago to deposit a check in Canadian dollars. They transferred the funds, only to withdraw back after a few days accompanied by a letter stating it was expired. It WAS NOT. They read the date incorrectly, day per month and month per day!!!! Manager Sheena was apologetic but that was all. She asked us to get a new check from the company and go back to the bank. It took us a couple of months after we asked for a new check and it arrived. We went back to the same Citibank branch. An employee gave us several conflicting information about timing and finally told us it is “useless” because their bank needs 8 weeks to process a check and by then the check has expired. This check expires on mid August and it is July 24th when we went there. Avoid at all costs.

Long story short citibank practically took my money!!! Never hadn't an issue in the last 12 years with them and then they pulled off the shadiest move ever. Deposited check and transferred over to my savings. Ok the online app said everything went through. Turns out they didn't and the check bounced pulling MY money out, only had about 400 in my account so they drafted my account. Didn't call me or nothing no email no freezing my account NOTHING!!!! Come Tuesday morning I realize I have 0 in my account and went into a branch to find out what happened..turns out the check bounce and ( even tho I was still able to use my account) ( I went to Costco and used my card) there was a draft of about 700..so they explained printed a copy for me with the proof of what happened. Teller said just wait till next day to see if it goes back in ( meanwhile I pay the700 draft that was on my account) next check comes in and I call the bank to see when I'll be credited for the amount drafted. They say they can't find any draft they can't find anything other than me "transferring" the money from my savings. I said let me talk to a supervisor he said (with a sudden voice change,because when I was explaining what happened he made it seem like I was being crazy cause he couldn't find anything on his end) oh no I see it it's there there was an issue on our side that say so I couldn't see it..he confirmed I would get my money back on Thursday night. Told him if not imagined call back and talk to a supervisor he said it's fine we can make a case then incase u can't. So come Thursday and Friday morning nothing about my money back!!! Called them again and I explained my situation to 4 people ( a representative, supervisor, technalist, and a specialist ) and none of them can find the issue..as I'm seeing the paper from the bank( because I was upset and didn't see it on Tuesday) I saw that the draft was actually 870 so I was like wth!! And I explained to the specialist " your explaining to me that I could have kept using my card ( with the draft already at 870) and you guys would not have red flagged my card??? And I gad done a 300 from Vermont into my country that dropped my account from -870 to -616 but because I had used 100 from my card on Monday it stayed on the red zone..I said how did u not freeze my account?? How did u not call me?? How did u not effing let me know what was happening??? She said " BECAUSE YOUR A LOYAL CUSTOMER AND WE'VE NEVER HAD AN ISSUE WITH YOU" so I went off like how the hell do u do this to a loyal customer!!! Her response was I'm sorry your going thru this but we can red flag your account for future..I cut her off ( I even apologized cause I know it ain't her it's her company about me blowing up on her but said "NO THAT SH*T SHOULDA BEEN DONE!! BUT THANKYOU IM DONE WITH CITI BANK" she apologized again I went to a citibank location and took what little money I had ( I have kids to feed and pampers to buy so yea I was pissed and took my money!!!l) never had an issue with them but gfor them to say this and do this!!! DON'T GO WITH CITIBANK!!!

Can't believe they won't let me make a simple deposit to my landlord that I made the same rent deposit every single month but in the different locations. Told me I had to wait for the manager to return from lunch. So I decided not to waste my time and drive 3 minutes to the different Citi location nearby. I finish making the deposit within 5 minutes!

3 months ago I came and waited at the lobby for 1/2 hour and they said they didn't have notary. This morning online it says the bank opened at 9am, 2 ladies chit chatting behind the windows came and said I'm sorry the door says we are open at 10am! Dude! Fix your hours online!! The ugliest and worst Citibank branch!!!

Bad customer service. Can never get anyone to answer the phone. I have called here many times and end up asking me to go online or call back.
