Never open an account with Citi!!!What I experienced these days with Citi are a kind of nightmare. On Feb.7, I made a domestic wire transfer to another bank account for investment. Citi charged me $35. Generally it only takes 30 min to arrive. Three days later, on Feb.10th, the recipient told me he didn't get it. I called the Citi banker to figure out what's going on. he told me the delay was because of screening, but the screening was concluded and the money would be released on that day (Feb. 10) or by tomorrow (Feb. 11). However, the money wasn't released during that weekend. From Feb. 13 till today, I, and my wife, have contacted Citi through the branch manager Mr. Ian Henry time and time again, including talking with him in person at the branch, making several calls inquiring the update, and more importantly writing two emails to him. But They didn't response any one. They just said they were working on this. On Feb. 16, the 10th day since the completion of my wire transfer at the branch on Feb. 7, the 2nd day after my second email to Mr. Ian Henry, the operation officer Ms. Vanessa Iyan (phone number 240-529-5212) gave me a phone call. She said that I couldn't do this investment through my personal account. No solution she gave us.i asked if I could cancel the wire transfer and asked my money back to my account, she said probably it would take some time. How long would I wait? She didn't give me the answer. On Feb. 21, after the President Day, my wife went to the Friendship Height branch again and told Mr. Nicholas, who was also very surprised to hear that the money hadn't been released. He made calls to the wire team,to the area manager who had more authority, but the only answer is the money is still under review, it is even so absurd that the request for canceling the wire transfer and returning my money to my Citi account immediately was refused either.I've never experienced bank service like this around the world. Citi is just a bank, not a law enforcement agency. It has not the right to hold my money for such a long time without any written explanation or any understandable and acceptable explanation. It has not the right to refuse my request for cancelling my wire. Citi should release the money or cancel the wire transfer immediately and should also refund the wire transfer fee. I have already report my complaint to CFPB. My money is still being unjustifiably held by citi, which neither release nor returns it. Arrogantly undermining its users in an internal system of cumbersome and inefficient deniability, without a care in the user's interests. Shame on their hypocritical slogan of valuing their clients. Can you trust this bank and its promises after what I've been through?

I walked in and took a seat today July 28 at 2 pm. Nobody even said hello. The teller was on her phone, looked me up and looked right back down. The teller looked bored, slumped and reading her phone. The sales representative had customers so I sat across from him so he would see me waiting. He too, passed me right by. Didn't say hello, didn't say he would be right with me. I waited another 10 minutes and since I was invisible to both black employees, I walked out without any service.

I usually don't write reviews but I just had to for this branch after my experience today. They have worst customer service ever. When you walk in they roll their eyes. I waited for more than one hour and they kept saying “one moment†“one momentâ€. I would've understood if it was crowded but it was NOT. Even when it is crowded in the other banks they have positive behavior. People at THIS bank are very ill mannered and I would rate it 0 but unfortunately it doesn't have that option.

Mr. Kyle Spense is the best. He took really good care of me and my family. He's one of the most hard working person I've ever met. I had to come and write a review about him. I would highly recommended him.

Someone greets me with a smile when I enter the branch. If I have questions someone is there to answer or at lease get back to me with in the same business day. If something is taking longer than expected they always follow up letting know the status of my request. I love the Friendship Heights Branch! Ms. Panaash Shaikh is a star! She is a joy to work with.

Came in to open, was were well treated. Panaash was very helpful and took me through the whole process in a very friendly and professional manner. Explained everything very clearly...she definitely knows what she is doing. And she is definitely doing it righ.
