First of all, you can never get through the phone line to ask any questions. I had to pay 3 visits due to inconsistent instructions given to me. The branch manager showed no interest and patience in assisting and she could not wait to remind me to take concerns and complaints to customer service. Laziness, dismissive attitude and condescension.

I LOVE CITIBANK - I love this Pennsylvania Avenue Branch near the White House.. They have always treated me ike Royalty - with Respect, Kindness , and Professioalism - and have gone out of their way to support my banking needs on every level for years - anyone who says otherwise must have just been having a bad day at work...... .Thank you, CITI...!!!

I went to this branch for a transaction, as I do not bank there. The manager was so condescending, and lacked knowledge of what I should do about the transaction. Won't be back.

Terrible service. They made a few mistakes which made me have to come to them several times. All the other citi banks are nice, except this one. I signed the wrong date and the staff just ripped the whole thing AT MY FACE. He kept behaving like I disappointed him. OMG. I don't need to be respected like lords but I am your customer who brings the money OK?

Does anyone at this 18/Penn ever pick up the phone ! I even went to branch and called the # and no one picked up while tellers were chatting and other guys in their rooms were god knows doing what!

Service at this place is getting worse every day. Looks like there is no manager in this place. Service used to be so great at this location but I see it declining every time I come here.

As internartional customer having one citibank account i just noticed that my debt card was not valid on the day that I traveled to Washington. Monday morning I was at this location and got a great service. Manager issued a temporary card, solved all my problems. Great location and great service

My review relates *only* to mortgage loan applications, not any other Citibank product. I received an offer in the mail for a very attractive refinancing product. Citibank purchased my mortage from my prior servicer many years ago and has been great, so I decided to apply for a refinance application through them. The person at the local branch (Rizwan Lodi) was very friendly and helpful, explaining the loan in layman's terms. The problems occurred when the central loan processing department took over and they were AWFUL. They send the wrong forms, which Rizwan had to correct. The loan processor called me and didn't introduce myself so I felt like I had to argue to get him to say who he was and why he was entitled to information. Three weeks after I submitted the forms they sent me all new forms saying the original application had been cancelled for lack of documentation (not true, I submitted everything). I got the formal cancellation letter 1 week after it was dated, and the week after a loan processor emailed me about new forms. It turns out that Citibank had an internal coding error and needed to regenerate the proper forms, which generated a new file. The only reason I know that much is that Rizwan had to look up the information and it took him 2 hours to get it. If you can deal ONLY with the local branch people you'll be fine. If any part of your transaction gets referred to Citibank's central processing department, run the other way.

Great staff. I walked in here all confused about bank checks and cashiers checks...needed to wire money didn't know how...etcetc. Everyone was really friendly, helped me call another back and take care of everything on the spot. They had to stay til 520 because of me, and because I walked in like 25 minutes before they closed...! They were very patient with my billion questions, and then I was given a pen for MY troubles. Whew. Needless to say, I am opening a checking account with them ASAP, I could use this kind of customer service in my life. =)

i would give a lower rating if i could. This bank does not care about its customers, or anyone besides themselves. They are a cruel evil machine without a heart. Dont trust them. They will beytray you, smiling the entire time.
