I had an interaction with both a teller and the on-site manager. Both were snarky and rude and neither wanted to help. I merely wanted to exchange ten $20 bills for two crisp $100s to slip into birthday cards for kids. The teller was rude and refused, citing a $100 change policy. When I was confused and asked a question he got pissy and shoved the money back at me refusing to change anything. The manager confirmed he could have bypassed the exception the teller insisted on if the teller were trained well-enough to ask him to help. Instead, they all gave serious attitude and refused to provide any change at all even after I clarified that I am a neighbor, I live right across the street and have had two corporate loan accounts with that branch. They have lost any future business I might have brought them.

The ATMs are only accessible during banking hours. Previously you could access the ATMs with a debit card to open into the vestibule, and they were available 24 hours a day. If they're only open when the lobby is open, why even have ATMs? Not convenient.

What happen to 24 hours access to the ATM? I can no longer obtain access to my money whenever I need it - this is an inconvenience to someone bringing you business. I will be changing banks.

One word: unprofessional. Came in on January 8 to change my credit and debit card to my new married name and print a few checks. Signed a bunch of documents, they took copies of my marriage certificate, ID, etc. In the mail, sure enough come credit cards with my maiden name. Called the manager, Samuel, who informed me that they can't fix the mistake (which she insisted may not have actually been a mistake on their end at all, though I got checks printed on the same day which miraculously DO have my new married name on them, while the cards do not), without me coming in to give them my marriage license and ID (which she refused to listen to the fact that I've already done).

This branch was very helpful from the time I walked through the door. I really love how the chase bank started letting those who are deaf, have an opportunity to be employed. That really melted my heart.

Have other people experienced being treated dismissively and with condescension and then hung up on in the middle of a question here? Doesn’t seem like a great way to treat a customer, but what do I know?

This is one of the best banks I have ever been to. I had a business account with Chase Bank. The service is always excellent. You receive water, folders, and printed statements - all at no charge. I am HOH as the H Street Corridor coincides with Gallaudet University and a lot of people do not understand the HOH community. I am also DeafBlind, this bank has excellent accessibility.

I should have read the reviews, but how hard can it be to be a decent human and do the basics of your job. I go in Saturday to order Mexican pesos for an upcoming trip on Thanksgiving. It takes two business days. I know this because I've been a Chase Customer for 15 years, and have been traveling to Mexico regularly for at least half that amount of time. The person who serves me is friendly and has an ASL interpreter (this will be important later). I should have received a call on Tuesday about my pesos coming in. I did not. I call early Wednesday morning at 9am, only to be told, "do you have your receipt? Are you sure you ordered from this branch?" What was your teller's name? We can't find your money" What idiotic questions. Why would I remember my teller's name, and no, I didn't keep the receipt. The receipt is the withdrawal from my account, which is clearly present. I try to describe who took care of me. I describe him as deaf/hard of hearing, white male, with a blonde ASL interpreter. I would have gone on to say, late 20s, early thirties, etc. But, I didn't get a chance because the woman on the phone cuts me off multiple times and gets increasingly disrespectful and rude. Says my description is unhelpful because she doesn't work there regularly. Keep in mind, the money is already withdrawn from my account and they have no proof an order was made. I was friendly enough to the woman on the phone, but when she started to get an attitude, I corrected her and advised that her behavior was uncalled for an error THEY MADE. She hangs up on me. So now, I'm without the currency I need, and I need to figure out how to get a refund processed from them. Disgusting behavior by this branch. Incompetent, rude, ignorant people. Go literally anywhere else.

Almost no private area, not enough bankers not a good location for service beyond basic teller services

Unprofessional, unhelpful, faulty atm I went to deposit money yesterday Into the atm in the middle of the three inside branch as I deposited the money the atm made weird noises took my money without release and went out of service, after telling the banker or young lady who was there what happened they were unable to do anything but tell me to call number on back of my card and make a claim to get my own money back that was inside the atm because they claimed to not have access to their own atms in my opinion that’s is stupid for example I went to Mid Atlantic credit union and the same happened the bank manager grabbed a key tried to find it couldn’t I was credited I’n 2 hours after they did find it in the atm Chase could not do anything which in my opinion confirmed their lack in customer service lack
