“Rented a vehicle from Avis for about a week. I reserved the smallest car they have but was given the biggest car they had (for the same price) which I really didn't want to drive but they had no other options. I don't know why they're advertising things they don't have. The positive.......Messi is AMAZING!!!!! She's so patient, so nice, I don't know how she does it. I was in there twice and both times, people were made because they had reservations but they had no cars, or the car they reserved wasn't there. And she took it in stride, she was helpful and patient, it was unbelievable. I told her, you need a raise!!! Avis is lucky to have her, she should be running things and maybe she'd clean up the fact that you don't have the cars that you're reserving. It really makes her job so difficult, yet she shines and is great to her customes. THANK YOU MESSI!”

“This review is a long time coming. I have been so busy and have also had a few health issues. I rented a car from your 10th St. NE location in DC. There was a second attempt on the theft of my car within 3 months. The customer service that I received was on point. The date I needed for my car pickup was appreciated and the level of professionalism at this location was beyond great!!!! I was so excited to see Lauryn Hillard at this location. She was so helpful to me the last time I went through this ordeal. At that time, she was located at your Takoma Park location. Lauryn is amazing. She is customer service oriented, very professional, kind, knowledgeable and goes above and beyond to be helpful. All of the employees I interacted with, from the young lady who handled my reimbursement that I received almost immediately, she's super awesome. The young man who escorted me to my car -- everyone was amazing. I am a senior and walk with a cane. They were so kind and compassionate and helpful to this senior lady. “The staff were very nice and knowledgeable and got me in and out quickly. One thing to note is that there is an additional fee since they’re in a hotel parking deck. My insurance paid for the rental itself, but I had to pay that additional fee out of pocket (about $5/day). Based on my experience, I’d assume these rentals are slightly more expensive than rentals from other locations. Not necessarily a bad thing, but worth noting!”

“I am a Preferred member, and have been for years. My bill was 3x what I was quoted, although I made no changes, and for the second rental in a row I had to exchange my car due to a tire problem. I did not receive any receipt upon returning the car, which I haven't felt I needed to do until reading some of the reviews about people getting overcharged. I just received my receipts and I was charged for two cars after I had to return the faulty car.”

“Visiting from out of town and my first Zipcar experience in DC area. The instructions to find the car are pretty detailed. App makes it very easy to make reservations. I did have trouble booking a one way trip so ended doing a round trip instead. I also couldn't figure out how to give the car to valet since I had to lock it. Other than that, it was convenient, easy and gave me a car for a half day to run errands. Very helpful to have in the city”
