I had a disappointing experience with one of the staff. She was able to help me find what I needed but her attitude was dismissive, her recommendations were impersonal, and despite an empty store and a $200+ purchase it seemed as though she was eager to usher me out the door. I used to love shopping at various locations in person specifically because the staff were so knowledgeable, personable, and gracious.

Grateful for the help I received today when looking for SPF for summer travel. The extra samples were perfect and very helpful to traveling lite. Overall, good customer service.

The customer service was so bad.. The lady working there in the evening 11/.27 /22 was really weird. She put a dark foundation on my hand and said that me and her was the same complexion. I told her that I don't wear darker foundation and she told me that was my color. I dont know what she experienced earlier that day but I would NEVER purchase a wrong color because some sales lady said. She went on to say she was the best MUA in DC! Lady you are NOT! I wouldn't spend a dime with her nor let her practice on my face. Too light or too dark foundations are both scary and not professional. Here is a tip lady...if you can tell its makeup it aint good!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rudest employees. I have been in this location twice in the past week. I was desperate for christmas gifts. I knew what I wanted and asked if someone could check me out. The staff was rude and acted as if they were doing me a favor. I shared my experience with my friends over dinner that evening....they all had had the same experience. Staff is extremely rude. I have no intention of returning and will be sure to warn my fellow Mclean Garden neighbors. It is not worth the aggravation when you can buy everything online in 2 days with free returns. It's a great location too bad the staff is so rude.

Okay I truly do not know where the bad reviews of this place are coming from. Maybe their staff used to be different? All I know is, I've been having a lot of skin difficulties and was looking for a new regiment. After reading the bad reviews, I was prepared to go in and know what I was looking for but that didnt end up being necessary at all. As soon as I walked in, Dawn (one of the salsewomen) came over to help me out. We got to talking and we had a lot of the same views on skincare. She helped me find what I needed and showed me some of her faves, but never tried to "sell" me anything. I said I was looking for mid range price and she found me the best and the cheapest. That's the other thing- I was expecting this place to be super expensive. And while they do have some luxury brands, they also have a lot of great cheaper brands that are just a good notch above drugstore products. Everyone was super sweet and the store was beautiful. I also got a little tote bag of samples with my purchase which I've been thoroughly enjoying.

The employees are very rude. Once a person working there gave me a look that she didn't want to help at all. I've been there a couple of times just because it is close by, and almost every time the employees were like this. There're other alternatives, so it is not worth visiting again.

This message is for the Corporate Blue Mercury - which is this location according to what it says online. There was a promo going on that if you spend over $100 (which I did - $135 as a matter of fact) you would receive a $20 promo card to use for next time. Blue Mercury has still not sent me my card. I called their customer service number (apparently it's just a team of 2 for all of the branches) and was told that they don't have any more cards and cannot send one out now. I was told that a manger would call me back the same day (she never did!) so i called the following day and was told "im so sorry we cannot help out with this". This is TERRIBLE customer service and this is exactly why they cannot even compare to Sephora and Sephora's customer service. For everyone out there, do yourselves a favor and don't waste your time and money paying to a place that has false advertising. For BM marketing team - please don't market info on your main webpage if it's not true or if it's unclear info to customers. It's false advertising.
