I have been coming to this salon for over five years after being referred by a coworker. Marissa R. (my name also happens to be Marissa) helped transform my hair, which was broken and damaged from years of relaxers and sew-ins. She helped guide me through my natural hair journey with patience and compassion. I moved out of DC a few years ago and tried going to another salon and pretty immediately realized I needed to come back to Bill Lawrence! I have also had appointments with Tayo and Bill over the years and they have taken great care of me! All 3 of them are experienced , professional, educate you about your hair, and prioritize healthy hair; not just styling. The salon is quiet, neat and never overcrowded because Manny manages their appointments so well. Blowouts, Olaplex treatments, coloring, microlinks - they do it all! Just make sure to arrive a little early because parking in this area is challenging.

If you're looking for a professional salon, respectful of your time (one hour in/out), clean, comfortable and the feel of a mini getaway, the Bill Lawrence Salon is your place. My visit yesterday was the first time I've been to a professional salon in years, and now I'm hooked. Mr Lawrence took the time to breakdown the health of my hair and recommended what I should and should not do to my hair. I was tired of fighting the natural hair fight, so I put a kiddie perm in my hair, Mr Lawrence knew everything that I had done. He encouraged me to trust him and to transition back to my natural hair. After being in the DC area for 26 years, I can honestly say that I trust him with my hair. He has COVID safety protocols in place to ensure that his clients are comfortable and safe. The customer per hour Policy not only protects us as customers, but it really shows his care and dedication to the team of stylist in the salon. Lastly, this is the best part for me... he has a personality. He allowed me to ask questions, crack jokes, and state that "I" was a beautician all of these years. I HIGHLY recommend the Bill Lawrence Salon to anyone looking for a professional stylist who cares about the health of your hair. Take a look at his website under Services for pricing. Love this salon. Great hairstylists. Marrisa is wonderful. My hair always looks and feels healthy. She colors, cuts and styles my hair beautifully everytime and gets me in and out in under 2 hrs! I can't stand sitting around in salons all day! Bill recently did my daughter's hair for her senior pics and her bob was absolutely beautiful. The only con is the parking so I usually arrive early to make sure I can find a spot before my appt.

When I lived in DC years ago, I went to Bill Lawrence for years. The vibe is laid back, the stylists experienced and professional. When I move back I'll be depending on them again!

Great place, and great stylist marissa very knowledgeable . She took me last minute which was amazing! I hated the parking, but it's dc so it's expected lol. Also tao was very nice!!!

I've been going here for years and developed a warm relationship with Marissa Robinson. She's been able to suggest health tips and even new styles that have always blown me away. Recently, I booked her for my wedding, and I was completely comfortable and proud of a 'do that made me feel proud and beautiful. Marissa also did my makeup, as well as hair for one of my bridesmaids and my mother-in-law! I felt so beautiful, and so did they. Thank you so much.

Marissa Robinson traveled to Baltimore to attend my daughter, myself, a tender headed junior bridesmaid, and the new Mother in Law the morning of the wedding. She did hair and makeup and exceeded all expectations. She made us all look and feel like royalty.
