Stopped by this place with folding bike questions and got amazing service on the spot! They made adjustments, taught me more intricate secrets of the bike, and advised on upgrades and other future adjustments and options for bags for touring. Both the owner and the mechanic were great! Highly recommend this shop!

Stopped by recently to look for a new commuter bike. Large selection of bikes in multiple sizes. Bikes available at different price points. The owner took time to talk bikes and I was able to test ride a few bikes. No pressure. Friendly service.

Terrible shop and terrible customer service. I had a simple parts order and they kept telling me they were taking care of it and then they left me hanging for months. After they told me they would take care of it, I would have to check in every few weeks since they would never contact me, and they would say the order wasn’t placed yet but they were doing it within the day. They just stopped responding after a few months rather than doing me the basic courtesy of letting me know they couldn’t fulfill my order. I could have purchased the necessary parts elsewhere months ago had they only told me that they wouldn’t be able to to help me. If you need parts so you can get back on the road, you can’t count on this place to help you.

Excellent service and super knowledgeable. They’ll fix a flat with no notice, and discuss bike and parts options for as long as it takes, with no overt persuasiveness or salesmanship. Also happy to order whatever you need. Highly recommend.

This place is absolutely awesome. My derailleur, derailleur hanger, and chain broke and I was looking at hundreds of dollars to fix it. BicycleSPACE worked with me to get the price down and returned my bike in pristine condition. Good communication from the mechanics throughout the process too. These guys make it easy to support an indie bike shop!

i love these guys. they did a great job on my bike fit in 2019 and, today, were the only shop in town to carry the part i needed (i've checked six other local shops). they even answered the phone and sold me the part i needed — on a day they're technically closed! above and beyond.

This is the best bike shop I've been to in DC. Everyone is super knowledgeable; they're not pushy at all and generally just excited about bikes and bike culture. They also recommended some great trails and social rides around the district.

I'm only in town for a couple of days and flew in with my new Brompton. Phil had a replacement seat tube that works better for my size as well as some odds and ends that make this incredible ride fantastic. Super nice dude with a life time of bike experience.

James has done a fantastic job taking care of my 12 year old Brompton. I use my bike daily for commuting and I had been putting off maintenance for quite some time, in part because things got weird at BicylceSpace during the pandemic. He made a honest assessment of what needed to be done and answered all my questions in a friendly and professional way. The bike was ready when promised, and James went above and beyond in bringing it back to life. I was almost in tears when I rode it back home. It feels like I am riding a new bike! If you have been putting off maintenance on your bike, make yourself a favor and let the pros take care of it. BicycleSpace is back!

Wow. I have been here before during pandemic, but boy, have they stepped it up. So much variety. I was a kid un candy store. You know that feeling that you gwt when you don't need any of it but want all of it. Maybe they didn't step it up but I just didn't have an accurate picture because covid was hard for everyone. Definitely check them out.

Went to several bike shops in DC before finding a home at this shop. Rob spent hours with me before I pulled the trigger on a bike and never once felt a sale was being pushed on me. He also spends a lot of time with you for a fitting. Entire staff is also pretty awesome.

Unmatched Integrity. I have been searching high and low for a touring bike. I have been to many bike shops in Maryland and DC which pushed me to buy gravel bikes that didn't fit either me or my budget. Rob pointed me to the Surly Disk Trucker. But, they only had 2. One was a tad too small, the other was a tad too big. He said I wouldn't be happy with either and recommended I keep looking. Knowing the exact right size to look for I called all over the DMV and fond one. I bought it from that other store. But THIS is my new bike store. They have a customer for life because of the bike they did not sell me. Integrity matters. Thank you.
