Personally would not recommend Bella Bridesmaids for wedding parties. I went in twice to the DC location to get my measurements and I got two different size recommendations each time. I got the smaller of the two sizes recommended and it is still too big. To the point the my alternations are as much as what I bought the dress for. While I know each store is individually owned, my fellow bridesmaids are experiencing the same frustration with their dresses.
I would also note that with in store pick up the girls who ordered from the DC location were never provided a call/email that our dresses had just been in the store waiting to be picked up.
While my experience was bad with my dress/pickup. I will say that that the women working the store were friendly.

The dresses are definitely gorgeous - but the way Bella Bridesmaids operates is frustrating. They make each dress per order, take your measurements, but they do not make your individual dress per your measurements... they're made to standard-store sizing (4, 6, 8 etc.) I cannot fathom why? They only take your measurements to "confirm" you're ordering the correct size. So, I now have to take a custom made dress that was $300 and took 5 months to come in to get alterations because I am between sizes.
Personally, I would recommend taking your business to somewhere that makes dresses per size or offers alterations themselves.

Picked the dresses I liked and they did the rest. Absolutely stress-free.

Great experience from choosing the dresses to the service for the bridesmaids. The cost is worth it!

I'm unsure why the reviews are low but I had a great experience. Karlynda was so easy to work with, knowledgeable. They don't have every dress in every color in every size which is completely reasonable but they do have a lot of dress styles and different colors so you can at least get a feel for the dress, the material, etc. I had a bridesmaid who was unsure she could come, but Karlynda made it so easy to make a separate showroom for her, and communicating with the designer directly to make sure we did not need to rush hers.
My girls were able to easily order the dresses they wanted and they turned out beautifully (and having other locations made it extra easy).

We really had the best experience and Karlynda was so helpful in coordinating my out of town bridesmaids! Making the appointment was simple and easy and they had dresses in all sizes - recommend this shop for any and all dress needs!

I would never recommend using Bella's Bridesmaids for any bridal party. Brides - if you're considering using Bella's Bridesmaids for your wedding party, please do yourself and your party a favor and avoid at all costs. The sales associate incorrectly measured me and based on those measurements, recommended I order a specific size, so I trusted that she knew her inventory and how their dresses will fit women. Unfortunately, this resulted in me ordering a dress that is too tight and will be uncomfortable to wear when the day comes. The company doesn't do exchanges or refunds, so there's no real path forward if there is something wrong with your dress size - despite sending photos and explaining the ways I felt uncomfortable, they pretty much told me there's nothing they can do at that point. They did suggest I go back to the store I was incorrectly measured at to get remeasured. But for what? Because you can't exchange the dress. I didn't see the point in that one proposed solution. I'll end with this, when places like Azazie exist and allow you to try on affordable dresses so you know what size to order for your final dress, you shouldn't be using Bella's Bridesmaid because it is an overpriced, archaic way of purchasing dresses.

Purchased a BM dress from here and was measured in the store. The measurements the store associate took stated I needed to order an 18(in which I tried on a size 10 in the store and clearly needed to just go up one size ) after reading multiple reviews about their inaccurate measurements I trusted my gut and did NOT get the 18. And my dress fits , just a warning to either bring your own measurements or double check what they recommend .

Karlynda was amazing! We all know how hard it can be dealing with orders in different states but their team had everything covered. Highly recommended.

Working with Bella has been a nightmare. Initial visit was fine but the shop is essentially a basement with terrible lighting. I had a couple bridesmaids who wanted to order dresses that they carried and they got measured. Then the ordering deadline was approaching and my BM's were having trouble ordering because the button to click "ORDER" was not appearing on their portal - it had not been turned on despite numerous calls and email exchanges with Bella instead telling them "you order in the portal". Eventually Bella had the order button turned on.In addition to this, the same thing happened with my final contract. Bella telling me to sign it and it was not populated into the portal - another waste of time exchanging emails. Fast forward 7 months and dresses finally came in - meanwhile I had spoken with the dress designer directly and they said their wait times were down to 3-4 months. Along the line, I expressed to Bella how the process has been made extremely difficult by them and they have ignored it every single time.My one bridesmaid picked up her dress and realized that the associate we worked with, Karlynda, did not note extra length for her dress even though we talked about it as she was writing down everyone's sizes. Because of this, my BM's dress did not get extra length added and she is now scrambling to order new shoes to accommodate this.Safe to say it's been a struggle from the start to the very end with Bella. When this is their one specialty - I'd expect better service but was extremely disappointed. I would not ever recommend Bella for buying - maybe just go to get an idea of different options since they do carry a good amount of dresses

The store didn't have any dresses in the fabric/size of the designer in store to try on. They had to clip another dress by same designer since they don't keep very many sizes on hand (I was not told this prior to driving 45 minutes to get there. The entire point was to get an accurate representation of what the dress will look like). The only dress that was my size by the same designer was not the same fabric & it was incredibly worn out from hundreds of people wearing it.I usually wear a size 4, which I told the person who did my fitting. She insisted that I should get a size 6 anyways because she said the size 6 I tried on in store "seems" so large because it's very worn out from so many people trying it on. Additionally, she said that my measurements were closer to a size 6 based on the sizing chart. She assured me that the dress would be tighter when it was delivered. The guaranteed date that the dress would be delivered by was August 28th (wedding is Sept 30th). We didn't receive our dresses until September 6th after I reached out to them in a panic the day before. Conveniently, a few hours after I reached out, the dresses were being shipped out.My dress finally arrived and it was huge... I knew ahead of time that I would need alterations. If I just needed it hemmed (like I would have if I had been told to go with the size that I said I was- a size 4), it would've cost me $75 but since the entire dress needed to be taken in, hemmed, and the straps adjusted, it cost me $230 for alterations. The dress itself already costs about $315 (after $20 shipping). So this is now a $533 bridesmaid dress. One that I'm dreading having to wear by the way.Additionally, since the dress arrived so late and this is prime wedding season, all of the seamstresses are booked. I scrambled to find someone but they can't have it ready any sooner than the day of the wedding. So I'll be scrambling to get the dress from the seamstress the day of. Terrible and an extremely expensive experience.

I would not buy from this establishment again, they rushed me, made me feel like my questions were annoying, and then didn’t get my dress until over a month past originally told.. and if they recommend mrs. Lee for alterations DO NOT GO!!! She literally ruined my dress

I went to Bella Bridesmaids in January with my MOHs and returned in February with the remaining bridal party. Both experiences were great. We did not feel rushed at all. Karlynda was very patient and allowed my bridal party to try on multiple dresses. Measurements are not taken to determine size like in a bridal shop, instead you try on different dresses for sizing. The place is a little difficult to find, but it is Georgetown, so it is to be expected.
