The valet staff, front desk and house keeping staff are gems. Thank you for your help, kindness and compassion today. I drove up to valet my car for a photography job not realizing my client gave me the wrong AC Hotel. I had a ton of stuff and the valet staff helped me and housekeeping even helped me off the elevator. Top notch, Happy Holidays <3

Looks nice from the outset; with a sleek, minimalistic, and modern look. Rooms are clean, and beds are comfortable; but minimalism goes a little too far, in my opinion. Nice to have access to Whole Foods across the street. The bathroom has a sliding door, not a door with a lock; and I’d say the rooms need more storage space. Rooms were not fully cleaned on first night; towels were replaced, but beds were not made, and trash was not taken out. Two entrances to the hotel on different streets also get confusing when booking an Uber or Lyft.

Never stay at this hotel. This is the worst Marriott hotel in the whole Marriott brand. This front desk Manager Chris is very unhelpful and incompetent and most of all disrespectful when it comes to trying to book a room last minute. He had the nerves to think that I a long time Ambassador Elite member was or would fraud the hotel being that I was booking last minute. I felt very disrespected when he said that to me due to the fact I was trying to book a room last minute like I have done many time in the pass and as recent as Monday night in Charlotte, NC. Also he said he checked with the higher Management and they said that they didn't want to help me as well. I asked him did you tell them I was an Ambassador Elite member and his reply was yes. If that's how they treat an Ambassador Elite member that spend over 40k with them this year and carried my status over from last year that's very sad that's how Marriott treats its members. Im moving my business to the IHG brand after this interaction. GOOD BYE to MARRIOTT never again will this happen to me.

I stayed there for two days and this hotel stole $334.25 from my account for nothing. Do not leave the hotel until you receive all the amounts in cash and leave your bank account empty so that they do not withdraw anything without your knowledge. Otherwise, they will procrastinate with you a lot, and so far they have not returned anything to my account. if I did not note that they did not return my money to my account, they will not take care about me.

From the time we got to our room we met with one challenge after another. We got a balcony room specifically for the view. The room darkening shades would not work...engineering said the switch in the wall was malfunctioning. Room looked like a cave because the shades would not go up. The track for door curtain did not allow for us to close or open the curtains as well. Staff offered to move us the following day and comped the room price along with food voucher. however, later that evening the shower door handle was loose and felt like it was going to fall off.....can deal with that but when the shower head fell off in my hand, that was the end of the line....I called the front desk and had maintenance back in our room at 10 pm the put things back together. Toilet paper holder was very loose and barely held the roll on the wall as well. We were moved to another room the next day, comped the entire cost of that first night, but still had issues with the room darkening and sheer curtains in that room. Stopped asking for remedies because we were in town for a wedding and did not have the time to engage in further debate. This may be hyped as a state of the art, trendy hotel but did not meet my expectations. Get your little details right..... Once again I want to emphasize that the staff were all very gracious and helpful...but the structural defects and design are out of their control. Come on Marriott...I expect better......

The week of 9/11/2023 was difficult to get hotels in DC. I was able to get this hotel based on my previous AC Hotel’ experiences particularly in Europe. After a long work day went to the hotel restaurant early and for my surprise walk ins even for the hotel guests are not so welcome. I was told to use the bar but it was full at the moment. There were plenty of small tables but was told that I needed reservations. I ended ordering from UBER Eats as I was not familiar with that area. Went to the lobby bar and long story short the bartender told me that the hotel guests have priority at the restaurant. I flashed my Elite card, as I am Ambassador Level with Marriott and it didn’t matter. I complained with the Ambassador Service group and even though they told me they informed the hotel, no one contacted me. Terrible customer service.

Accessible room location is not great (but it rarely ever is). Bar closed early so was turned away. Pretty standard experience otherwise. Free coffee would have been nice. And there was only one cup in the room.

The service and personnel were incredible, everyone was nice and helpful. I won’t give it 5 stars because after using my Netflix account in my room it got hacked into so I don’t know how secure their internet/devices are but I wouldn’t risk it. Everything else was perfect.Rooms: Very clean and with a great viewWalkability: Really close so the capitol and other attractions.

Stayed here for a weekend when it was over 90 degrees in DC that whole weekend and our hotel room did not have any working AC, making the room consistently over 80 degrees the entire stay. The hotel did nothing to help remedy the problem by trying to fix the AC or give us a different room. When we checked out they said they would compensate us but couldnt do it then because there was no manager around. They then proceeded to ignore our attempts to reach out and its been over 2 months with us emailing and calling and still nothing. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced at a hotel.

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times as it is walkable to my DC office and it’s close to where my son lives. It is very convenient and walkable to the Nats stadium and Audi Field. The Navy Yard area has great restaurant and nightlife options also, so being able to walk to all these from the hotel is a bonus. The rooms are clean but the towels could use an update as they are getting pretty worn. The staff is very nice and I have never had any problems with my room not being ready, or housekeeping not delivering as promised. They have upgraded my room several times based on my Bonvoy status. I will say the vibe on the weekends is a lot more party, so if you’re looking for a quiet place to stay, this might not be it on Fridays and Saturdays.

We stayed here for 3 nights.Negatives:- Pillows have similar properties to a rock- Shower was dirty- Bed had tons of spiders- Bad air circulation (One night it smelled like kebab in the hallways and in your room you could smell the the various good other guests ordered)- Parking expensive- You have to text to get your car from the valet- Not enough amenities in the bathroom- Lots of dust in the beds- When you connect to the hotel internet there is a enhanced option which says “For gold and elite members it is free” We had a hotel card which said “Elite” That is very confusing since we later leaned every single hotel card says “Elite” It is actually talking about the marriot rewards app status. Meaning it was actually $4.95 a day.Positives:- Good location (about a 20 minute walk to the national mall and next to whole foods)Rooms: SucksNearby activities: Whole foods, national mall

I went there last month in July and I had an amazing time like the food and everything was amazing especially seeing it from the US Capitol and Whole Foods is right across the street from the hotel .. it was a weekend stay but they also make me feel like I was welcomeRooms: I stayed in a double queen bed suite and it was very spontaneous and exquisite to first-time experienceNearby activities: Nearby parks, US Capitol and a bunch of stores like Whole FoodsSafety: I can say is definitely was very safe when I was in the area at the timeWalkability: Yes it's definitely a lot of walkability activities around to get to certain areas

I booked this hotel to stay near the ballpark for a concert. The location is great, the hotel is very nice and comfortable. Overall I’d give the hotel a great review. However I had to contact the front desk to get my partners name added to my reservation. They put me on hold, and every few minutes someone would come back and tell me they were going to put me on hold (even though I’d been told that several times already). All told I was on hold for 45 minutes and they hung up on me 3 times by accident I assume. I gave up without ever being able to talk to anyone. Since this was the only service interaction I had; it’s not much to go on but it was not a good experience. The staff on the phone seemed overwhelmed and not especially friendly.

Let me start off by saying that as someone who travels quite a bit, this was hands down one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. I stayed here for ~40 days or so, and the employees made me feel like a welcomed guest. They knew me by name, knew what requests I wanted before I asked, and switched me to the largest guest room they had. Every single person was friendly, and If I had to choose a hotel in DC again, it will always be this one.

Awesome room! We stayed in a 2 queen bed room and surprisingly there was an alcove office area which worked great with our 18 month old. We were able to easily fit her pack and play in that area like she had her own room. And the gym guests have access to is pretty awesome!
