The owners are good people working hard to keep their small independent business happening as Shaw changes. If you live in the neighborhood and want something in stock regularly, tell them and they'll make sure you'll have it. They'll know your name, if you want that, or leave you be, if you prefer, and they'll treat you and everyone else who comes in with respect. It's a place that reminds me of my favorite NYC bodegas: a joint where you can come for aspirin, with the flu, wearing pajamas, and leave thinking they might just care that you get better.

I do not know why it's called grocery, it does not have any. Better name would be liquor, beer, snacks and candy.
