I have been a long time shopper at A Mano and it’s fabulous! The staff is wonderful and the monogramming Queen Stacey is absolutely incredible! She is very creative and has helped design personal and thoughtful things to give as gifts. I can’t recommend this store enough. The gift wrapping is a added bonus.

Overpriced products, underhanded management. Browse their stock, then search online to buy identical items at a fraction of A Mano’s price.Store policies beg the question: how d*** do they think we are? Or perhaps just rich and lazy?

My wife ordered two items, not in stock, at a cost of approximately $700. A Mano charged us for the two items upfront. After a year, we still have not received the items, a refund, or store credit despite multiple attempts on our part. It turns out that store staff likely didn't even place the order for one of the items despite charging us. The owner of A Mano promised to rectify the situation, but has not done so. We attempted to follow-up and the standard response from the sales staff is that the owner will get in touch with us, but he does not. It is apparent that the owner either doesn't care enough to provide the lowest level of customer service or is actively defrauding people. If I could give less than a star, I would. I actively support my neighborhood businesses, but I will not visit A Mano again.

Margo- thank you for your post. It’s really unfortunate when companies do not pay their vendors. I hope this gets sorted out and I will definitely reconsider where I shop.

I am a vendor for A Mano and they refuse to pay their bill. I have emailed the owner, Adam Mahr, and have called the store several times to try to settle an invoice that is over 3 months past due and totals $418.00. I have been hung up on, including by Adam himself. Vendors should be careful when dealing with a store like this.

Great little shop in Georgetown. The sales people were very nice and friendly and I found a few cute things. I would definitely visit again.

Great collection of toys, board games and fun knick-knacks. The space is filled with items from floor to ceiling, so it can get pretty tight in there with all the kids and adults perusing the shelves. If you can go earlier in the day for a less crowded shopping experience.

Wow! I'm a shopper and I was blown away with A Mano. It's an amazingly edited collection of home and garden accessories….with an edge. I was looking for some hostess gifts while in Washington and ended up taking care of all my wedding and baby gifts and picked up custom sheets and towels. The staff was a blast and knew their stuff. I'll try their web site, but it would be hard to compare to the in-store shopping experience.
