Always a wonderful experience to chat with the wonderful family that runs this from The Farm. Getting to learn and taste the different types they make and buying fresh along with other goods is always amazing.

I've only ever had their Dark Robust, which is my opinion is above-average with a well-rounded maple flavor... the caveat is that in regard to their 2021 syrup, I found the flavor to be a little milder and the viscosity a little thinner, i.e., compared to their 2015 maple syrup in particular when both were stellar; so, their 2021 syrup is/was still great, but a little closer to Amber/Rich than I'd like. I'd likely attribute this to the overlap in light transmittance between Amber and Robust maple syrup, due to the somewhat clunkier new grading system. Or/also as a contributing factor to this overlap and thus their debacle of a 2021 season (facetious, just in case), colder temperatures simply having led to less bacteria/invert sugars/amino acids in the sap. So it's not exactly their fault chances are (at least flavor-wise), but I'm not sure if they covertly finish their syrup to the bare minimum density stipulated by law (66 Brix) rather than being more generous, and/or have recently started to do so, in which case that would obviously be a problem... please don't cheap out! Definitely meaning to try their Golden and Very Dark 2022 maple syrup! I'll have to wait until mid-November for the former, however (the "holiday season," as they stated), which is rather strange... 4.0/5

Hopefully in 2022...

What a neat place. We were there a couple of weekends ago and in addition to buying your maple syrup we also bought your bbq sauce and wow is it great!

What a great experience for a Sunday...all with the same hospitality we have come to expect from Mike and Ananda and The Farm. The tasting was perfect for picking just the right syrup we wanted. Bourbon Maple Syrup aged in Litchfield Distillery Barrels.
