My chimney cap was ripped off on 3 sides from wicked storm. Was having breaky @ the grille, old tower, there infront of us was there advertising on placemat. We called on Sunday am, booked repair & chimney clean, for later in the week.Arrived on time. Saw our damage, no guarantees of a fix, then the younger guy went inside to checkout inside chimney, work began. They were able 2 fix my cap & clean out chimney, without a speck of dirt.
They are 2 great guys, communication, & service w/ a smile. Great business ? ?

I'm so happy with the Chimney rebuild that Rich's masons did! Took a while to get it in the schedule, but if you do good work, you have a long queue. Job was completed in 2 days and looks amazing!

Solid, reliable, honest, knowledgeable. Rich is a straight-shooter and tells it like it is. Likely added years to my life as we were breathing in bad fumes. Rich told us what needed to be done. While looking for a gas fireplace insert we were getting discouraged by the poor customer service from the first two places we visited. We are so happy we found Rich & John’s. Shannon was extremely helpful in listening to what we wanted and helping us narrow down our choices. They have quite an inventory to view and Shannon is knowledgeable and patient! Rich made sure what we selected would work in our space. We love it!

I had a great experience and will be calling soon to hopefully set up some more work to be completed. I had a log, non vented, unit installed in my existing fireplace and I had the flashing done on my chimney. The fireplace works great! And the leak from around the chimney where the flashing was repaired is no longer there. Also, visited the store to pick out the log set and had a great and friendly experience there as well. I really felt confident I made the right decision on my purchase and received the necessary education and answers to all my questions.

I just had a pellet stove installed at the tail end of our renovation project here in Naugatuck.We’ve been renovating the second floor of our home for about the past year and a half and it’s been one nightmare after another. Not to mention a handful of inept contractors. it’s been stressful to say the least, and having the stove installed was one of the last finishing touches.It’s still tricky to bring large items in and we just had a large hvac handler dropped and broken down half a flight of steps.Exactly what we worried about.So…, this afternoon when the Rich and John’s techs came in and effortlessly got the huge unit up the angled steps and installed it perfectly without a mark in a wall!!!, I was overjoyed.I would highly recommend them.

I had an expensive lesson hiring Rich to install a chimney. In brief, since the chimney was installed in 2019, it intermittently leaked down the side of the chimney liner, down onto the wood burning insert, rusting the insert and staining the bluestone hearth with rust. A tech and Rich came out twice to inspect and apply caulking. It didn’t stop the leaking and recently the leaks started in the room with water leaks in the ceiling and down a wall. When I asked Rich if the cap could be too small the answer was no. I had an inspection done by two other chimney contractors and without me saying anything to them they both said the cap was too small. In addition there is a recessed area of mortar where the cap was pressed onto where the water was pooling and when nowhere to go, ran down the side of the liner. One contractor said the flashing installation was also not optimal. Having lost faith in Rich’s ability to make things right, I’ll be spending thousands of dollars more to remedy the chimney cap and mortar, flashing and ceiling/wall repair.

Bought a stove few years back. My family loves it, and been a wonderful addition to our home.Rich was very helpful in guiding us through the process, and making recommendations along the way. Since buying and installing the stove, they have cleaned our chimney every year. One stop shop.Pleasure to work with and can’t recommend enough.

Reached out to Rich for a chimney rebuild and chose them for our contractor. The Mason who performed the work was great. As with any large project there is always a hiccup and they were very quick to remedy. We were so impressed that bought a wood burning insert. The PROFESSIONALISM & KNOWLEDGE is real! Highly recommend this company!!
