Big box stores serve a purpose, but local neighborhood stores like Newtown Hardware have an ingredient that the big stores don't. From the first step in the door to receiving the receipt from the cashier the store has helpful nice employees/staff to assist with the search, the decision and the purchase. “Washington Supply, by combining with 2 other regional lumber/hardware businesses, has managed to bring the best of everything together. You get the variety, volume and pricing of the "box" stores, and the individual attention, simplicity of purchasing, and quality control/follow through of your local lumber and hardware store. We recently built a barn that required a great deal of material for completion. Brad and Allie were both excellent contact people to ensure I got the best quality materials at the best pricing. Even when there was a glitch in the order of materials for the roof, Washington Supply went above and beyond to secure the best outcome. That's when that more personal attention is most evident and most welcome. My advice is not to waste the time and the trip to the box store and work with a local business that can give you the best of everything.”

“You wouldn't think this place has what you need cause they are so small. Believe it or not, every time I go their for some odd ball random thing, they have it!! I needed a golf cart key made, went to 4 other places that looked at me like i had 2 heads before i remembered they made keys, they had it done in like 2 minutes. Always a pleasure going there, very friendly staff, fast, definitely recommend!”
