Went in to cash a check a customer gave me, I do not have an account with webster.I didn't think 4.250 is alot of money but I guess it's alot to this bank.First I was told since I didnt have an account and the size of the amount, they have to verify.Then I'm told they have to call another lead branch to verify if the check is even real without even being polite making me feel like I'm under interrogation for being a fraudster.After 45min, and being polite to who ever she spoke with on the phone, all I'm told is she can't cash it, and to contact whoever issued the check, after asking why? I'm told she can't give any information, to contact the issuer.I leave there and go to another bank because my spidey senses gave me bad vibes, the bank teller told me the check is issued to two people, my name and the business name, that it can only have one name. Simple.I'm giving a 1 star for not knowing or giving the simple details on why the check was being refused, and after almost a hr of interrogation, not being polite the entire time. First time, last time.

This banking facility has been the worse. We went here to order a debit card , that supposedly they ordered for us. It’s been three weeks and every time we call no one has an answer for us. They have a different answer every time we call. They either blame the mail, COVID or they promise it will be there the next day. I’ve spoken to Jonathan and Debbie and they sound clueless. Very unprofessional. They do not work as a team. Kendra was really nice when I call but unwilling to help either. She claims I couldn’t get info or she needed to know who I spoke to. Kendra couldn’t take it upon herself to find the info on the computer. Too lazy to do it. The manager Lisa all she could do was promise a call back once she calls the main branch location. Which we have been told this many of times. Instead of doing more as a manager that’s all the help she could offer. Very very disappointed. I will definitely call the main corporation to report this branch.This facility might need new staff. Due to this I will be closing all of my accounts. Webster has been great in general , but dealing with local banking staff has been more than terrible. Either do your job right or stay home. There’s so much people out there that actually need a job and that would go beyond for customers. Being the only webster in Wolcott , you would think they would try a little harder.

This is my bank, and were it not for the employees inside, I never could have managed all 4 of my dad's accounts as his Conservator plus my own account. Dad has passed on, but I can't imagine doing business with any other bank. Only drawback? Too many fees for the amount of business my family and I have done here.

Came here because the one at the top of the mountain has been converted into an ATM station. Parking lot is huge and staff was very friendly; however, it felt like there wasn't a staff at all. They had two girls working the front. One was at the drive-up counter and was nice enough to come over and help me while the other teller was busy. Not sure if they were trying to save on payroll or if they are not busy at all so they staff less. I came in for a deposit and it was done quickly and with a smile. This was a great location and I was in and out the door within 10 minutes. If you are in the area, this is the only Webster bank left in town, but it is definitely worth going to instead of taking the time to drive down to Waterbury.
