Good year-round boat ramp. The river current isn't too bad

Great lil' boat launch. However there are no dock just cleats cemented to shore.

Excellent in late spring/early summer.Walking in the clearing (not the official River Trail) felt like a private trail! Spotted deer running and rabbits zipping by.

Years ago you had dirt road access to the river frontage. They've since gated access off and added parking and a picnic area. The boat ramp is now well paved although very steep. I used to launch canoes here to paddle upstream to the Farmington RI. Slow way to go fighting current upstream. They really need some rest rooms or at least a portable pot.

Strong smell of marijuana. Felt a bit unsafe so we quickly left. River water looks dirty up close. Looks beautiful from the bridge above.

Peaceful place to access the river. Hydrilla is killing the fishing but still managed to catch some yellow perch

While visiting family, went on a power walk and enjoyed the breeze, but it can stand to be cleaned up a bit.

The grounds are getting a little worn out. The equipment, picnic tables need to be refurbished. The boat ramp is good but there is no dock to tie your boat to. The views are fantastic. He just want to watch the river flow by it's a great place to do so.

Big parking lot but not a "park" as you'd think. There's a boat launch area and the CT River is right there along with Bissell Bridge. The river trail starts here. No one was here when I stopped by. Very peaceful and pretty.
