I really had a great time. I learned a little about tobacco. And enjoy the farm animals.
Nice place to spend with family, friend or a single walk.

Very nice park. Trails are well maintained and marked. Although I did get a little lost at the end of the Yellow trail getting back.Restrooms: bathrooms were on the side of the nature center building. They were fine.

PERFECT ESCAPE FOR FAMILIES & THOSE WHO ENJOY WALKING TRAILS BY FOREST OR LAKEThis location is absolutely wonderful to spend an entire day at the kids will love it. The ducks, the cows, the horses, plus a turkey quacking in the background is just the start of the adventure.Next comes the parks, the playground, the open fields ready for those who like game of soccer. Finally, for those who are up for an adventure comes miles and miles of hiking trails. The best part this park is hidden behind a luxury neighborhood tucked away in the background far away from prying eyes. So expect to have a lot of open space to enjoy the park for yourself. It's just far enough away that most people won't make the effort to go. So this is great for those people who love a little challenge, but really enjoy the reward.Below are a few photos of the main area but I have left all the trails for you to explore on your own.

This winter my husband is making me go hiking each weekend (wx permitting) so that we don't spend the season cooped up in the house. I do require a winery visit afterwards, however. Stay tuned for winery reviews! One winter Sunday we decided on Northwest Park. Quite a nice, approximately 5 mile loop that was very well marked. Set off into the woods behind the nature building on a trail that took us down and by the Rainbow reservoir. Pretty easy trail as well.Ended up by the critter barn that had goats, ducks, turkeys, sheep and Cisco the donkey that runs the show. There is also a very easy pathway past the barn that would probably be fun for a family with little ones.
