Terrible customer service , went in at 10:30 and workers were more interested in being on their phones then helping customers. Literally couldn't look up to even acknowledge customers. Sickening. Hopefully the cameras and the self service cashiers are doing their jobs. It's really sad what this world has become. Do you they even have managers or security on duty?? Scary

A while ago I had a employee laugh, not apologize, and think it was ok to let his carts he was getting smash right into the side of my Jeep! We only use pea pod or go pick up our grocery order. And the quality of what is received is just as good as a employee out there smashing carts into customer vehicles!! The store is dirty, employees don't have customer service. I've also been yelled at by deli staff, because the cheese I wanted said differently from the sale tag. The lady came out to my side of the deli and she said " The tag is wrong spot, and it's white not yellow cheese!" I replied this is what the tag says here. I mean do yourself a favor and stay away. The cleanliness of this store makes think I'm walking into a Coronavirus Farm

I love going early (the over 65 crowd) because that is the only time people pay attention to the covid protocols.

Very many people not following social distancing protocols. No attention to one way aisles. People wearing their masks around their necks while they’re eating and wandering around. People with their masks under their nose. Felt very unsafe there today. Can’t you hire people to stock the shelves when customers aren’t there? Creates major bottlenecks to have to go around them. I won’t be going back for a while.

During this COVID 19 Pandemic I find it very disheartening that my local Stop & Shop where I’ve been shopping my whole life is not trying harder to adhere to social distancing . There are way too many people & not enough employees dedicated to making sure there are limited patrons & enough space between people . Competitors are doing a better job . I hope the powers that be change things & quick . I will not be back at all while this pandemic continues . Furthermore , the Hamburg I have purchased on more than one occasion smells weird & is not as appealing as meat I have bought at a locally owned competitor . I will add though that I do like a lot of employees at this location .

Ok, so I had to take advantage of the 60 and over special shopping time at Stop and Shop in Willimantic. What a travesty! Getting there at 6:00 am, of course, there was a line. In fact, there were lines at both doors. Sadly, they only opened one, so those who were at the other door had to walk in the rain to the open door. You may not think much about that, but for some seniors, it is a chore. And of course, the line of seniors went right for the toilet paper. And, t

Check EVERY single item you buy in the produce for freshness--many will have expired dates, and when you tell the workers this they don't seem to care. Even though this is a unionized supermarket (which I support) the workers seem to HATE working there and are often extraordinarily rude to customers. Moreover, store management appears extremely confused about even the most basic facets of the story's operation. As of today I am will be back to shopping at Big Y, where they actually seem to want my money and can run an efficient business, and where I am not continually finding my produce getting mildewy as soon as I get it home.

I travel for work and have visited many Stop and Shop Supermarkets throughout the state of CT and Massachusetts. Stop and Shop in Willimantic is by far the dirtiest, most understocked, forgotten about location in the chain. They have invested $0.00 in this location compared to others and it shows! Empty shelves, lack of carriages when you walk in and the feeling of having to take shower once you leave is more than we can handle. After moving to a neighboring town which brought us to this location for shopping, we have decided it's time to become Big Y shoppers in Mansfield. Expect to leave with "several" items on your grocery list not being available. Shame on Corporate Stop and Shop for leaving this forgotten Willimantic location in the dust!! Invest in your business here!!

Average at best as far as Stop & Shops go. This location has a decent selection and one of the relatively new organic sections. While Stop & Shops are known for carrying a good amount of natural foods, the assortment at this location was lacking. The natural frozen food case was a mess. I literally had to dig to find the Boca burgers I wanted, as they were piled under other products. Otherwise, the store cleanliness and selection throughout the aisles were OK. The prices here are reasonable compared to other Stop & Shop locations. If you want a greater selection of natural and organic foods, I'd suggest going to the Willimantic Food Co-op just down the street.

Pretty standard grocery store with food prices at the mid-tier level given the location. This store probably has the BEST selection out of all grocery stores in the area (particularly for all-natural and organic goods), and has some good deals advertised each week in their circular. Word to the wise: Self-Checkout will probably NOT save you time.
