Stopped for some gas at this small Shell station on our way back to Jersey. Boarded up doors. Looks a bit dodgy. My husband decided to just throw in $20 worth of gas, since he feels this place looks a bit sketchy. $3.05/gallon. Got about a half a tank or so.

Great staff, clean store with everything from hot food to deli to car accessories. I love this place because it's also one of the last remaining gas stations that also sells diesel and kerosene from dedicated pumps. Never had any issues here whatsoever. One of my top picks for gas station in the Winsted/Riverton/Colebrook area.

Screw this place! My 32yo husband went in there to buy Juul pods and the old fat grouchy lady wouldn't sell them to him because he didn't have his license or passport but DID have his CT pistol permit which has to be approved by the FBI which stated his birthday. So I went in with my license to buy them and she refused to sell them to me because I'm with him. What a friggin see you next Tuesday!

Gas prices are a little high, but I like to use Shell premium in my motorcycle. And from there it's a great ride North on RT 8, or East on RT 20.
