My husband died in October 2022. I went to the Chase Branch at 34 Danbury Road today (1/11/2023) to have his name removed from our joint accounts. I had a certified death certificate with me and had written a letter requesting that this service be performed. The person doing the process went to MY profile and ENTERED ME AS DECEASED. It then took more than an hour for her to undo the damage. As of this moment my checking accounts are open, although at one point there was a "hold" on at least one of them. However, ALL of my debit cards were "killed" as soon as I was entered into the system as deceased. It is Wednesday (1/11/2023). I will not have new cards until Monday (1/16/2023), IF THEN because Monday is Martin Luther King Day. The compensation I received was the refund of the service charge fees for one month on each account. I do not think that the branch manager even knows that this happened. And, at one point I blew up because the person who made the error was taking a very long time trying to scan something into their system. The floor walker talked to me like I was being unreasonable. Seriously? My husband died. This process should not have taken more than 20 minutes at most. But instead, I was sitting in a cubicle for almost 90 minutes while the person who did the damage kept saying "this has never happened to me before". Find another bank to do business with. If you are stuck with Chase, use another branch. This branch is quite simply unacceptable. PS. I did NOT have ANY problems at M&T Bank nor at Fairfield County Bank for the same service -- removing my husband's name from our accounts.

At least they have manners at this branch, still wouldn’t bank here if you paid me.

If I could leave this branch zero stars, I would. We had a 2:00 appointment to open an account. The man behind the counter was very kind and apologetic. He offered us candy around 2:30 and apologized (one of many times) as we sat outside the banker's office. As there are glass windows, the banker saw that my fiancé and I were waiting on numerous occasions as we made eye contact with him, yet he did not even try to wrap up the client he was working with. Instead, they talked about their children and cars. The door to the office was left open so we could hear the hour of unrelated-to-banking conversation. He was completely unprofessional and rude!! We finally left after an hour of waiting.

Great all around customer service. The staff has helped me with a number of items from new account questions, notary service in a pinch and mortgage stuff. I only wish they had a drive through ATM, because the parking lot is a bit small. But you can't always get what you want, but once again the staff if so nice and professional I don't mind going in.

Been a customer of Chase for 20(?) years. The employees at this branch are genuinely personal and friendly and I hope you too will give them a shot at your banking needs. I understand that Chase is offering a higher interest rate for short term CD's (as of this week) so worth a Q&A visit.

I live in Norwalk and work in Stamford- if I have to meet with a banker I prefer to make the extra effort to drive 20 + minutes to go to this branch to see Norma. They are all professional and very helpful!

Chase has protected and backed me up on many occasions. As a younger banker, they have halted a handful of transactions that either were not made by me or made in a concerning manner. Very comfortable to know this bank has my back.

I've been banking at this branch for 20+ years... while they are certainly polite and cordial inside, the sense of urgency and customer service is lacking. Most recent example would be stepping inside for a cash withdrawal due to a 4 person line at the single ATM. Teller "Alex" told me to fill out a withdrawal slip rather than allowing me to swipe my card or assist me directly, and then took another customer whose transaction completely confused/baffled him (he needed to call for help). While I stood waiting, multiple bank employees walked by but none offered to help/ open up another line for a simple withdrawal. After a prolonged wait, the ATM cleared and out I went to complete a routine transaction - no thanks to the employees in this branch. Patience is a virtue and they certainly test it at this branch! Just cause this is a small town doesn't mean we should receive small-time service.
