I chose this bank because they advertise its company policy to have your money available the business day after a deposit. But they put a hold on my disability check.so I called customer service and they said they dint out holds on checks and my local branch would be able to lift it. I went in person to have it lifted and they explained it's part of their process qnd j just had to wait and deal with it. This is Total fraud! I never would have gone with this bank for any other reason than ease of getting my money. I bet they are investing my check and making a 8% gain on it like most banks do in the short run while they are "waiting to make sure the finds are legitimate". Berkshire bank is just as bad as the rest of the banks. Don't let them touch your money. FRAUDS !!!!! LIARS !!!! 0 stars.

Went in to close an old, small account, and I couldn't be happier! When I arrived, the main lobby was full of garbage cans. Why?! This is the main lobby of a financial institution! When I spoke to the teller, she was wearing a low cut top and had many visible tattoos across her chest. Extremely unprofessional! Why does management allow this?! Furthermore, there was a sign at the register that said something about how the bank supports the cannabis industry. I will not support the further delinquency of America! I'm happy to say that I am no longer a customer of this bank.

I must admit,I wasn't happy when my bank of 20 years changed over to BERKSHIRE, but,. BERKSHIRE has proven to be the best bank ever. Even during the pandemic, BERKSHIRE did a great job. I couldn't be happier, they have a great set of folks that are always happy to help or answer any questions. I would definitely refer my friends and family to bank at BERKSHIRE.

Long wait at the drive through to the point that people backed out of line. Ridiculous. Close to a half hour waiting. Poor service. Time for another bankDon’t know why they closed the beaches at Walmart. Those were very convenient. .

I was hesitant to do business with this bank because I have only heard negative things, but I contacted them for help with the PPP (Paycheck Protection Program) since my bank doesn't offer it. I spent a lot of time getting in all the information to them within a couple of days, and then heard nothing. For two weeks had no response, then another two weeks of no response to emails. The voice mail for the rep I was dealing with, Steve Taylor, was full. Finally, I get a response from him that they were "only taking applications for existing customers" and even though funding was still available, they'd get back to me if there is anything they could do. I was shocked. All this time I waited for nothing. That could have been stipulated in the first place. I've lost weeks of time, and perhaps all hope of funding for my request. AVOID this bank at all costs. Because it will cost you.

Berkshire Bank took over Savings Institute and they are anything but a reliable and helpful local bank. Even before the COVID crisis long wait times, inflexible policies, and distant call centers have been the norm. I would recommend finding a different bank. In my area Liberty Bank is much much more accessible. I have also banked at Chelsea Groton for years.
