“I brought my 2 dogs in(1 nervous, 1 dog aggressive). I saw Dr. Maeso and not only was she very good with them both but she also accommodated them very well, it made the experience for them and me much more enjoyable than it could have been. On top of that, Dr. Ali even came up to one of them and did a little mini exam. It's very obvious these doctors care very much for the animals they treat and I'll be staying with this vet.”

She examined Sasha on 01/20/2026 and noticed her bumps throughout her body. I find the doctor was more thorough and measured her bumps. I was concerned with my last couple of visits but the doctors were not concerned at the time. I think measuring the bumps made sense so we can monitor and compare for her future visits. Thank you to Dr Laufer for being more thorough and helping us get through Sasha’s visit. I hope to see Dr Laufer on our next visit to MVC. ?✌???”

“Both veterinarians that I've spoken with were very helpful and I didn't feel at all rushed. Front office staff were also very accommodating. Waiting area is long and can easily handle multiple animals. They mail out reminders when your pet is due for vaccinations and/or other routine appointments. You can schedule medications to be received by mail. I believe that they also board pets. VCA accepts major charge cards. I highly recommend this business.”

“We’ve been clients here since 2022 when we adopted a ‘super senior’ cat and needed to establish care for her, and have since transferred care to Catzablanca for the other two cats we have. I appreciate that most of their appointments are ‘cat parking’ where you drop them off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon. I believe this gives them more time to do a thorough exam/provide services, and just makes things easier schedule-wise. They also offer traditional timed appointments, which I can understand some people may be more comfortable with based on some other reviews. I have always received a quote leading up to an appointment, even with the few last minute emergency trips that have been needed. They are extremely thorough and will jump through hoops to help find a solution, whether it be changing food, medication administration, or just offering general advice if you have a question. Their in house testing capabilities are great, as that helps get some answers sooner than later. I have never felt pressured to have a service provided that may be recommended. And if it is something that should be in serious consideration, they have always helped establish a care plan. While yes, costs can seem high, but that is unfortunately across the board for a lot of other practices. (Pets can’t tell you what’s wrong with them so it takes a little more to figure out what’s going on ☺️). I have nothing but respect for the staff there. They have been incredible whether it’s boarding while having to travel, all the way to offering additional support when it was time for our super senior to cross the rainbow bridge. They pick up on your pets personality quirks, and take the time to interact with them while under their care, which shows how invested they are in everyone that walks through the door. 10/10.”
“This is a very special place. They took exceptional care for our dog for years until it was her time. When it was, they went above and beyond to give her a calm, loving, patient send off to the other side. I cannot even begin to express on here how wonderful the staff and doctors are at Farmington Animal Hospital. We were never pressured to make expensive decisions, we were always given options, and never felt judged. This is by far the best vet in the greater Hartford Area.”

“I love this animal rescue ? in Newington. I saw this adorable male cat with striking coloring, so off I went on “Good Friday,” 2024.
I filled the application out fast and sloppy because (2) guys were behind me and they were also interested in this fine feline.
The decision was ultimately the cats.
Michu was hiding under a blanket on a chair in an office. After a slight “bribe,” ? with “Delectables,” he came down off the back of the chair and put his foot on the toe area of my shoe. He picked me and we all grinned with joy.
It was a textbook match-up.
He’s living have ROH and the carpeted stairs he flies up and down plus all the windows and places to play and hide-
He’s thriving and my heart is full-

Additional comment 10/2024-
When sitting with staff, going over medical sheet, make sure to take it from them and read it yourself. They conveniently left out: “He has a history of not eating?”
He had a radiograph X-ray showing his colon FULL of feces, and no enema was given. I’m having the worst time feeding him. He lived on Delectable’s while getting “fixed and chipped.” He barely ate and went 5 days without a BM! That’s a trip to the vet after 3 days.
Handing me Science Diet cans and kibble on the way out with, “he won’t eat it,” came to fruition with 9 brands.
I emailed their behavior specialist for advice. She thought I was trying to give him back but offered nothing on getting him to eat. It’s not his fault he wasn’t fed actual cat food, or cleared of his impacted colon. That’s a reason to not eat.
I took him to (2) vets and both asked “why didn’t they give him an enema?”
Doing what’s right isn’t always easy, but this was a set up for failure.
I’d end up on a “do not adopt,” sheet for something others failed to do.
Michu is use to this home and he’s comfortable and LOVED. He has tunnels and toys and a friend next door.
The food thing is still a point of contention.
