So happy to have found this park for my 2 year old Giant Schnauzer. He is off leash trained but in our area it’s always “your dog has to be on a leash” sign. It’s great that this place allows nonresidents to come here! When we stumbled upon this park and saw that there was a dedicated off leash area, it was like my dog and i found heaven! My dog had a great time, met so many new friends, his tongue was hanging out of his mouth after about 20 minutes of just being in the company of other dogs. And oh yeah, The dog owners that we had the pleasure of meeting are nice as well.

Plenty of room for dogs to run and for people to walk. Little creek in the back if dogs want a drink plus a water fountain for dogs in the warm season. An area away from the open field is for smaller dogs.Dog-friendliness: The people I meet are mostly very sweet. I grew up in Westport CT so I run into friends there too.

decaying infrastructure, the grass is kinda sad in places, a shadow of what it was and could be.Like a lot of things here, to be honest. It's clear priorities are elsewhere but where those priorities are isn't clear either.warning for dogs that scare easily: a lot of people dont seem to notice the "all dogs must be on leash in this area" part of the park. it will not be safe for you dog.3/5 stars. the drinking fountain has a foot level faucet for dogs, and it even works.-1 star for the AED station that's been empty for two years even when you call the number on it. I'm telling you, the town isn't thinking about the people.cool dogs though. i bet half of them cost more than my car.Dog-friendliness: water fountain for dogs. there's a leash required area, but be warned, people with off leash dogs never read it.Picnic area: there's benches and tables, they're badly maintained but only superficially. they're "fine" but you'll want a tablecloth.grass and weeds near the tables is a bit high, but not yet "check for ticks after" high for most of them

I attended the Westport Dog Festival here which was very well-done. Parking could be a tad improved, but that's really it.
