"The Post" is so much more than Hemingway's "a clean and well lighted place"Everyone is warm and friendly and the music venues are superb. Jazz is living large in Westport! Most Thursday nights, Rabbi Greg Wall & his professional entourages of jazz men and women never, ever, disappoint!

A great time was had by all ringing in the New Year 2024 with Paula Gallo and the 5 O'clocks, a very popular Westport band. Seen here in performance at this long established home of heroes, friendly and spotless, live music and pool table. Easy access to the popular Saugatuck area, near the train station, I95.

Hall itself was great, but drinks from the bar were outrageous. We were told drinks would be around 6 dollars, but they charged my guests 10-12 dollars which is almost more than a restaurant. Bartender told my guests it was only one water bottle per guest for a 4 hour party which I paid for. Would not be able to recommend this place because bartender told one of my guests that he was told to up charge for the drinks.Isn't this a non profit organization? I understand they need to make a little profit, but when you are told one price and then charged double that is just dishonest and embarrassing for me when guests are spending so much on drinks! My security deposit was suppose to be returned at the end of night and bartender had no idea about it. When we called next day to inquire they said they handed it to “me” yesterday. Person they described was not me at all nor were they from my party. We got it back after my husband went there in person.

Open to the public, this hidden spot looks out over the Saugatuck river. Great place to grab a beer or a bite when Eddie is cooking. They are currently serving eggs and omelettes for breakfast Sundays and lunch/dinner at various times Wed-Sun. Call ahead to see if and what they are serving.

First off, of all places to fly the flag at night without illumination, this is disrespectful and disgraceful. Shame on you.
