Another excellent experience with Greg at Vautrin Auto. Earlier this year Audi dealership warned me that timing belt would require changing soon, but their quoted price was way too much. Needless to say, check engine light recently went on in my Audi Q5. I contacted Greg who was busy as ever but still managed to squeeze my suv in his schedule. He quickly diagnosed the problem and confirmed what was expected. Greg was very honest in letting me know that it would take some time for him to work on the suv, and after a few days he replaced the timing belt and few other items needed, all way under quoted dealer price. His willingness to help customers and professionalism are what make Vautrin Auto my go-to Auto service shop.Service: Engine repair

My car's exhaust decided to die in Westport, not the town I live in. I found them online with great reviews and they were GREAT! Fixed the problem after I had my car towed there for a reasonable price. Changed my brakes that needed it too. They are 20 minutes from my house and my new mechanic!!!! Friendly, excellent service. I found a gem!

Stopped by this week to get a catalytic converter, resonator, and o2 sensor installed after thrives jacked mine in the dead of night. The owner and staff were incredibly helpful regarding educating me on what parts I needed, and where to source them to avoid an additional procurement fee. No complaints.

My family has been having it's cars cared for by Greg and his team for decades. He's the best - kind, honest, helpful, on time, and reasonably priced. We hang on to our cars a long time and he helps keep them running. We all drive Subarus - he's great at them.

I can always count on these guys to fix up our cars quick, and at a fair price. They are very transparent about the price of parts and give you options without feeling pressured any particular way. The repair staff are very nice and appreciative of our business.

Owner Greg Bernfeld does not stand behind his warranty. He removes parts and fails to reinstall. When asked to correct defective work he gives great resistance to correcting defective work. He says; "too busy....try again next week and I'll see if I can repair my defective work."Of course, he was paid in full, so he is in no rush to repair his defective work. Fails to repair work asked of him. He say's; "Yes, I will repair what is on the punch list." and he returns the vehicle with half of the punch list not repaired. Greg Bernfeld, fails to make repairs in a timely fashion in accordance with his committed date of completion. Don't go to Vautrin Auto Services, Inc., Greg Bernfeld disappoint you. He ought to be pumping gas down the street, instead.Service: General repairs & maintenance

GRADE: F- for Greg Bernfeld (owner) and Vautrin Auto Services, Inc. Greg Bernfeld (hereinafter; "The BERNFELD") has no clue on how to fix cars. He is this little passive, soft spoken guy, who makes false representations. His repairs are incomplete. The BERNFELD represents he stands behind his workmanship, after any conventional warranty, yet, when I returned two days later, for a missing dash part, that he failed to reinstall, (which I paid for in full for him to diagnosis and reassemble), he failed to install the light into the dash. I immediately brought this to his attention and he said, "I cant fix it now because I am too busy." Can you fix it tomorrow? "No," The BERNFELD responded. No urgency to correct his botched workmanship, because the BERNFELD had gotten paid in full days earlier. I left a message on the BERNFELDS voicemail demanding that he make the repairs immediately (giving him a kick in the A$$), and he did, but with a PUSS and a hostile attitude. The BERNFELD also earns a grade of F-, for breaking my hazard light switch in the dash and not bringing it to my attention, attempting to conceal it. The BERNFELD, also failed to make the repairs that he agreed to make on the list that I handed to him. The BERNFELD keeps the customers cars, for weeks and months on end, and gives the excuse that he is too busy to get to the repair. The BERNFELD is also regarded as; "Greg B U R N feld" because he burns the public. The BERNFELD also worked on my brakes, and the brake lights went on suddenly and stayed on indefinitely thereafter. When I called him and alerted him to the brake lights staying on, the BERNFELD, got into a shouting match, refused to look at the brake light problem, putting my family and other motorists in harms way. The BERNFELD then cited my voice mail message as offensive "to him," and that he no longer wanted anything to do with us, because Greg Bernfeld of Vautrin Auto Service, Inc., feelings were hurt that I called him to the carpet to make a repair under warranty, tomorrow, rather than when ever the hell he got around to it. The BERNFELD, appears to be a mild mannered mechanic, but he is anything but. He is unethical, dishonest, does not stand behind his sub par work, gets into arguments with customers, to avoid them and attempt to invalidate their warranties, etc. The Bernfeld, is a WOLF's in SHEEPS Mechanics uniform. When the BERNFELD'S workmanship is defective, he does not take ownership of it. Stand back at the end of the line.
