I went in today because my AC was acting up in my new 2023 Toyota Corolla and this poor review is due to the actions of my service advisor, Matt Marquis.I knew my AC was acting up, but when I checked in at the service desk after letting them know that I had a new car with an AC problem, Matt asked the valet to stop driving my car over a walkie talkie and proceeded to drive my car around the parking lot. He told me that my AC was fine and blasting cold air, except it was a 50 degree rainy day and of course the air would feel cold when he just left the dealership. That's how heat transfer works, and it obviously didn't mean that my AC was working. While I recognize that he wanted to spare me the $215 diagnostic charge, which I appreciate, the way he went about it was terrible. He told me my AC was working fine, which I question whether is even under his scope of responsibilities. He also tried to mansplain to me how my own AC works, going as far as to try to explain the "Eco" button to me. I highly doubt he would have acted the same way if I were a 6 ft tall man instead of a short young woman. I urge him to reflect on his own actions and competency. Not all young women would have insisted on checking the car anyways. The mechanic video was great, and it explained to me that there was bad rodent damage which chewed up the wires to my compressor. My car is only 8 months old. The recommended repairs to fix the rodent damage quoted me at around a couple thousand, and the new car warranty didn't cover it. While the news in itself is terrible, the way that Matt treated me initially made the news 10 times worse and genuinely ruined my day. He apologized to me later, but I had a terrible experience at Totoya of Westport Service Center.

I have to update my review as I was incorrect in my understanding of the services provided...I went for a free maintenance service on my leased car about 6 months ago. The place was okay and clean. People friendly. I misunderstood when they wanted to charge me for a wheel allignment...thought they were trying to charge me for a tire rotation which is included in the service.. wish they would have explained just a bit better as I'm not a car person. Overall not a bad experience, but I will say, Stamford Toyota had a more comfy waiting area with a full service "mini cafe". If you're wanting to go closer to home, this dealership does what they say, but it's definitely no frills.

I had issues with my car, so I went to Toyota of Westport Service Center. Upon arrival, Carlos greeted me with a positive attitude and introduced me to Dan, allowing me to discuss the specifics of my concerns with him. Dan's expertise surpassed my expectations; the thoroughness with which he explained the intricacies of various components and pointed out areas that required attention pleasantly surprised me.The overall experience was amazing, and I particularly appreciated the videos showcasing my car both before and after the service. This visual documentation assured me that nothing untoward had happened to my vehicle during the visit.Without a doubt, I would choose them for any future car servicing needs.

I've heard friends complain about the service at this dealership for years, but I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt. Took my Prius there for service and they tried charging me $290 for a loose gas cap (causing the check engine light) and to snap my rear view mirror in place. I spoke to the service manager who was surly and obviously not too concerned with keeping customers happy. He did remove the 1/2 hour labor they tried charging to literally snap the mirror back in, but they wouldn't turn off the "Maintenance Required" message in my car because I didn't let them balance and rotate my tires. From now on I'll travel to Colonial Toyota in Milford where they actually care about customer service.

When I scheduled my service appointment the man told me I could drop my car off for my appointment 2 days later and it would be no more than 90 minutes. Or if I had to wait for it I would have to wait another week to bring it in. I walk in to drop it off and Matt said to me right off the bat rude that it would be ready later on in the afternoon. My appointment was 9:45 in the morning. I told him that the guy that had scheduled the appointment had told me it would be 90 minutes and he told me that the man did not say that to me because it would only be 90 minutes if I was waiting for it there. He didn't say that?? Was he on the phone too? What a thing to say! He said that wasn't what the man had told me and I must have scheduled it to wait for it then. When I tried to explain to him that the man said it couldn't be a wait for appt for almost another week Matt had no interest in listening to me. Totally tried to shut me up and was soooo rude. I said to him "can't you just listen to the customer for a minute and not try to shut them up" he said "you are right, go ahead" as he rolled his eyes and focused on his computer screen. His behavior was extremely unprofessional and rude. I heard that the service team they are use to have was very unprofessional and very rude until they got rid of a lot of people and hired new management. I looked at the yelp reviews afterwards, and they are not very good reviews. The person told me that maybe those reviews were written a while ago, but looks like a lot of them are in recent months. When I went back for my car Matt was trying to be nice, but he already acted the way that he did when I dropped off the car. Too late to be nice after he was just as rude as he was. Spoke to me, like I am a child, meanwhile, I'm probably older than he is.

Very poor customer service and clearly they do not value their customers. Process was opaque and they were trying to add on more items I didn't want like nitrogen filled tire and Simoniz ceramic coat. I wouldn't have minded being talked to like an adult and explained the services but given the opportunity to approve or disprove. Mgmt was initially unresponsive to these issues I brought up until the GM had to get involved. I've bought a lot of cars and never felt more neglected as a customer than at this dealership. Highly recommend going elsewhere.

Couldn't find my previous review that was not so good to edit/delete so writing a new one...Went for standard service for my car. Got a couple scratches and was upset. The manager, Ray, had reached out to me directly after the visit and asked me to come back in to check it out. Made me feel welcomed and immediately gave me a fix and ordered touch up supplies for my Rav4. Really impressed on the turn around at this place and the dedication to fix issues that come to them. 5 stars from me! Thank you much for correcting my issue with a smile!

I used to be a happy customer at Toyota Westport but since the 2 best service people left I am no longer going there and wouldn't recommend anyone else to go. The people that are currently working there are either rude, clueless, careless or a combination of all of them. I dealt with the guy (Mark) who currently holds the most senior position in the service department 2 years ago. He didn't listen to what I said, kept asking me the same questions and got annoyed that I got annoyed. And then he tried to overcharge me till I got the manager involved who fixed it. Another lady I dealt with this year had an aura that was as cold as a penguin habitat. I asked to have 2 things checked and she said that will be 189$ per thing just for checking! So I went to Hank Mays in Norwalk who diagnosed for free and fixed it for a 100$. Finally recently my 20 year old son (new car owner) dealt with yet another person who convinced him he needed a 600$ part that turned out not to be necessary at all which we found out that when they couldn't bother to call us that the piece isn't there yet and my son needed to leave for college. My husband then talked with some manager who admitted that the part was not necessary at all. A couple weeks after that a manager send me an email or text asking for feedback, which I happily gave. He never responded. My advise for anyone stay as far away from Toyota Westport as possible.
