Talbots has always had a spectacular wide assortment of classic petite tops and bottoms. As with many other stores, it seems as if it is getting more difficult to find particular sized items. The store had a good variety of merchandise for larger sizes. It was organized and clean. The staff is extremely helpful. I do hope they will consider stocking more petite size clothing in the near future.

It's nice to see plenty of sales associate helping with size, etc. They have a nice selection of petite size clothing. You do have to keep on top of sales, one day 50% off, next day only 40% off. Not sure what their policy is, if you buy one day and it's cheaper the next? Either way store has an abundance of sizes, colors, etc. I recommend this store for a pleasant shopping experience.

I have lived in Westport for 30 year and have never had worse shopping experience than this one at Talbots Westport! I shopped at this store and had a pair of jeans on hold for me because I forgot to bring my wallet, so I told the saleslady that I would be back the following day. When I went back the following day, they couldn't find the pair. So I bought a next size of the same style in full price as the sale ended the previous day. I removed the tag when I got home. THREE days later, I got a call from the store telling me they found the pair and asked me if I still wanted it, to which I said yes. I also asked them if I could return the pair I bought, to which they also said yes. I went back to store to buy the pair of the right size. However, when I tried to return the previous pair they refused to take back since the tag was not attached. I told them it was them who couldn't find the pair in the first place and now they wouldn't take an untagged item back. They said it was the store policy. I asked them why they couldn't hand write a tag or something. They just wouldn't give the slightest courtesy to me! What I did next was I filed a complaint to the customer service and they would take the jeans back. First, the store misplaced the item; secondly, they wouldn't give me the discount when the sale was on when I had the item on hold; thirdly, they only found the misplaced item three days after; last but not least, they asked the tag to be attached to the item I bought three days back. All and all, I will not shop at this store in my life and I have unsubscribed all emails from this brand for good!!!! Good-bye!

Since I don't live in Westport, I only stop here when I'm in the area. Today was one of those times. I opened the door and an awful smell overwhelmed me. Then I remember that had happened the last time I was here. That was 3 years ago. I left immediately. Please explain why the store can't be renovated? PS No other shop in that block has this problem, so something is really wrong here.

Rude sales associates who give you attitude the minute you walk in. Ridgefield is better-not by a lot however. order online or go somewhere else.

Walked in and no one spoke to me the entire time. Never offered a dressing room for my many items despite various associates walking past me. Waited in line to pay for 15 minutes -- while two associates chatted and stared at me and finally said, "do you need something?" Will never go back here. Talbots in Ridgefield is a much better shopping experience -- and I had planned to buy a full suit so missed opportunity due to poor customer service! Went to Banana instead.
