Great merchandise and good service if a but too eager to help. Sometimes you just want to browse on your own. Yet they are helpful when you ask for assistance. I like buying the beautiful clothing best of all!!

Catherine, the manager of this store and the Lexington location unfortunately fits the stereotypical rude French person. The stereotype is not true! But it's people like her who give frenchies a bad name. And Cotèlac. And Acoté. No wonder the Lexington store isn't on Yelp -- too many bad reviews. My story is not unique. Tried to make a valid return and was told no -- despite their clearly stated policy on their website. Très grossier, Catherine. Retourne d'où tu viens.

Nora went way above and beyond "normal" customer service. She was quick to find a solution to my return issue, and sent me no less than 20 photos of pieces for exchange (I live out-of- state, so that was really helpful). Next time I'm in Westport, I'm definitely going to stop by to meet Nora + shop in person. Excellent experience!!!

This is my go-to store for inspiration, fabric-feeling and sometimes a reward for a long trip from Philly to visit family. It's a beautifully laid-out shop, lots of light and clear presentation. Yes, it's pricey but these are quirky, wonderful, easy to care for pieces that you'll have for ages. Mostly I go because of Alexcia, shop manager who has been my point of contact since 2016. (I agree with everything Laura P wrote in 2016) Alexcia has such a command of the stock: of the fabrics used, of Cotelac back stories. She is the face and personality and smarts that every shop owner would want. While I've never owned a shop, I had a service-based company for 10 years and Alexcia would have been the person I wanted on my key accounts. (Also, she's a reader so, to me a librarian, that counts for alot.) I called the Westport shop last week due to difficulty with Cotelac online. Alexcia was fabulous and even remembered me. (Readers remember readers.) I'm tickled with the result, my first accessory.)

I am SO glad this store came to Westport! Fun and unique pieces in every collection so far. I love the labels that say "dry cleaning forbidden", which is OK by me!! I travel a lot, and these fabrics are the best for pulling out of the suitcase and throwing them on without any fuss. Worth the extra price when you realize how much you will save by not having to dry clean. I love the dresses that you can wash and hang dry, and they appear just as you bought them. I love dresses because they are easy to wear and require no thought really...but I have to say that this store has provided me with more separate pieces than I have ever purchased before. That is because the store manager, Alexcia, is like a personal shopper! She has taught me over many visits HOW to dress with separates. She pulls off combinations I never would have considered, and I'm slowly getting it. I am dressing with confidence because of her! She makes the process fun and I leave happy. The other gals in the store are lovely, too. The hard thing now is trying not to pay them a visit every month...almost impossible!!!! :)

I recently stumbled upon Cotelac in Westport and discovered one of my new go-to brands. This French brand has been described as rustic-meets-feminine. The Westport shop offers women's ready-to-wear, accessories, plus pieces from Cotélac's lower-priced sister line, Acote. Designer Raphaelle Cavalli's bohemian-influenced fresh designs serve up incredible attention to detail, unusual and beautiful fabrics, and flattering cuts. I dislike shopping but love wearing great clothes and having a few excellent go-to pieces in my closet. Manager Alexcia is fantastic: helpful, patient, honest with her thumbs up or thumbs down opinions, and very customer-centric. I've now been back several times and it is always a pleasure to work with Alexcia and her colleagues, including Marina. One fewer stars on my rating given regional manager Catherine's customer-unfriendly rigidity: I spent a lot of money in Cotelac before Christmas, during my first visit there, when many items were on sale; three or four days later, when prices were dropped an additional 25% to 30% -- which I discovered when I came back for more gift items -- Catherine refused to budge on "store policy" not to give me the additional discount on items I'd just purchased. "F" on customer service Catherine; your speedy "No" left a bad taste in my mouth, just after I'd become a huge fan of the Westport Cotelac store. Alexcia, though, has such a winning way that I later purchased two jackets just before the first snow-zilla storm of the year. It is refreshing to find a brand that offers cuts I know are flattering and suited to my body as well as to my urban-bohemian style and sensibilities. I also appreciate stellar customer service, so thank you Alexcia and Marina for introducing me to Raphaelle's Cotelac line.
