Castle Wine and Spirits offers a great selection of wine. Many brands of beer, spirits and more are offered in this convenient location in Westport, CT. There is plenty of free parking. Always clean and a pleasant staff, an ideal location on Route 1, and near I95, locals have patronized this store for decades.

Be careful. They bait and switch prices on you. Price on wall for beer is "not updated" so charged me $4 more for a 12 pack. Sorry will fix it for the next guy. This happened a few times to me. I was in a hurry so I let it slide. I'm done with these folks. Crooks!

I agree with the comments about their selection, especially of craft/imported beer it’s great. Customer service/checkout is poor though, you always have to twist their arms to get enough boxes to carry your stuff. Today after spending over $400 I asked the checkout person to put everything in boxes - she filled two, one was overdue and two six packs remained and she handed me my receipt. I asked for a box for the remaining items a second time and pointed out two wine bottles didn’t fit in one of the boxes. She offered an open top cardboard tray. I then began to place the wine bottles and six packs in an empty box which was at the counter myself and she objected saying “you don’t need that box”. At which point I asked to return the items. They agreed to the return but no apology or reconsideration was offered. This used to be my exclusive location to buy wine, spirits and beer but frustrations like these have driven me to other stores.

Knowledgeable staff. Helpful in recommendations when I couldn't find the specific brand I was looking for, as it was a gift I received that was probably brought from out of state. Castle is my go-to place.
