“My family loves the elks and we always find something delicious to eat! We have a beach house two minutes walking distance so it is very convenient for a nice lunch or a quick dinner! I recommend if you have a elks card 10/10! The ocean view is also so amazing! It is perfect for a a early dinner then a walk on the beach!”

“The scenery, food, and service set the stage for a lovely 70th birthday celebration for my godmother. The pictures speaks volumes. I look forward to coming back to experience Water’s Edge again and again.

Food & drinks: Wonderful buffet featuring fresh seafood, prime rib, omelette and pasta stations, salads, fruit, desserts and more!”

“For me, the outstanding part of our visit was in the bar. Mike was what many would call a ‘character’. But he really knew his stuff and he has a personality. He was extremely easy to talk to and he created some great ‘experiments’ that my wife and I enjoyed ‘testing’. If you stay at this excellent hotel, go visit Mike!”

“What a gem! We come back year after year! The cottages are absolutely adorable, very comfortable, and clean. The location is fantastic, so close to Hammonasset State Park, the beach, and shoreline dining. The owners are the best, they are kind, accommodating, and they remember us every year. We've stayed in several different cottages (both small and large) and have been happy with every visit! A perfect alternative to a crowded hotel. Easy parking, beautiful grounds. You won't be disappointed!Rooms: The cottages are ABSOLUTELY adorable. They have a rustic feel, but are very clean and cozy. Each one has its own flair/decor.The large cabins have a kitchenette (toaster, coffee maker, microwave, dorm fridge). There is an AC unit and electric heat, if needed. The area is peaceful and ability to open windows for fresh air is great. Each cottage (large and small) has a private bathroom.Nearby activities: Hammonasset State Park, Meig's Point Beach, Nature Center, shoreline dining with great views, Clinton Outlets (if you like to shop)Safety: Easy on-site parking which is only for registered guests, sidewalks to all cottages, outdoor lighting, very safe.Noteworthy details: A hidden gem, in my opinion. A great alternative to stuffy, crowded hotels.”

“Staff was very nice and accommodating. Food was delicious. Plenty of spaces for quiet moments. Was there for a retreat and enjoyed my stay. Would recommend for a retreat or for a quiet relaxing getaway.”

“Copper Beech has always been my restaurant to celebrate a special occasion - NYE is one of them. Our dinner was good, not a wow, but good. Service was just average, guess I expected more. The kitchen staff was helping out the wait staff by waiting on tables - something they usually don't do, so things didn't always go right. Also, the Copper Beech Inn looks like it needs a renovation, getting pretty dated. Hoping that 2024 brings good changes to the Inn.”
