I encountered the same issues as others wrt my order. I finally requested a refund in February and never received it. I filed a dispute with AMEX and the BBB late last week and received my refund within 48 hours. If SB owes you money, I encourage you to reach out to your CC company and the BBB and let them recover it for you.

Exceptional experience ! Order placed and promptly confirmed. Sound Boatworks includes an email if assistance required. I used the email requesting a color change (if available).....it was and the item received as promised. Quality of item better than anticipated (HH Alpha 4.0).

I'm another very dissatisfied customer, same story as all the others.1. 11/24/23: placed my online order, my credit card was charged2. 12/19/23: left a msg on their website inquiring about my item, they replied that it was backordered and would ship 12/27/233. 1/19/24: emailed them again, they replied that it would ship on 1/29/244. 2/4/24: emailed them again, they replied that it would ship in 24-72 hrs.5. 2/20/24: emailed them again, they replied that it would ship on 2/29/24.6. 3/14/24: started calling them several times a week, they never answer so I leave a detailed message with my order number and phone number. They have yet to return any of my phone calls.7. 3/19/24: received and email from them stating my item would ship that week.8. 3/31/24: emailed again asking for a refund9. still waiting for a response....

Ordered a part that was supposed to be on hand with expedited shipping. It took a week and a half for them to drop ship from the manufacturer. The part was a manufacturers replacement and not the part I ordered.

Ordered a jacket in November. They took my money never sent the jacket and never gave me a refund and ignored all 5 emails I sent, it is now March with no word from anyone. Total scammers I would not buy a thing from these people. If there was an option for no stars I would of chosen that

I was really worried after placing my then reading a lot of negative reviews.Great price on the jacket I ordered. Friendly responsive customer support. I emailed several times worried from the reviews.It took longer than I was hoping for the jacket to ship, but it only took a week to ship and I received the jacket yesterday.

I ordered a jacket on January 2, 2024, and after numerous emails to the company today is 12 February. I still have not received my jacket and I keep getting emails back saying that it’s going to ship that they had back orders they keep stringing me along. Do not order from this company. Horrible, horrible company Total scam

Ordered item and 1 month later still hadn’t received a tracking number so decided to cancel the order. Problem appears to be completing paperwork for export.

Ordered a HH windbreaker from their site Dec 18th. Followed up multiple times to get shipping info, they claimed a late restock order was to blame. They stated because of the delay it would be shipped direct from manufacturer, and that was over a week ago, with no info. Getting strung along, just like the other commenters. Requested a refund 1/16, no response yet.

I purchased two Helly Hansen Daybreaker fleece jackets on 12/23/23 from Sound Boatworks’s online store. My experience pretty much mirrors the vast majority of reviews/complaints on Google, Yelp, and BBB. I would not recommend anyone buy anything from their online store(noting that I try not to buy online from business’s for which I have not done so previously. Obviously, I skipped my own policy.). Here is my experience1. I purchased the two jackets on 12/23 and received an immediate acknowledgement of the order from SBW and my credit card was charged.2. I received nothing more from them until I emailed them on 12/29, inquiring as to when my order might ship. I received a timely, polite email back stating that the order would ship on 1/5/24.3. On 1/5, I emailed asking if my order was still shipping that day. I received a prompt email back stating it was shipping almost momentarily and that I would receive a prompt email with the tracking number. I never received a tracking number.4. In the evening of 1/5, I researched SBW through Google, Yelp, and the BBB. I saw the vast majority of reviews and complaints voiced experiences similar to mine.5. On 1/6/24, I had still not received any shipment confirmation. I emailed SBW stating that I had gone through their reviews and that what I was experiencing was not exactly unique. I requested that they immediately cancel my order and refund to my credit card.6. On 1/8/24, I received an email informing me the above had been done.7. On 1/9/24, the refund showed up as pending on my credit card and then this morning, it had been credited.

**Buyer Beware** Placed an order on October 26 for sailing line and my order was confirmed. On November 3, I inquired on the status of my order and was told they had a delay in restocking the item (this was never mentioned when I placed my order or it was confirmed) and stated they expected to have the product by 11/10. That did not happen and I had to inquire again. This time they told me they would have it 11/23. In total I had to make four inquiries on my order and from the time I placed my order to when it arrived 54 days had elapsed.
