Sad to say they have very poor business practices. They changed a watch battery for my mother but failed to specify their unfamiliarity with Movado watches. After changing the battery, they didn’t fully seal the watch, which allowed water to enter when she washed her hands. This water damage broke the watch, but Instead of admitting their mistake, they wanted to charge $150 to repair the damage they caused. Despite the staff being very nice, it doesn’t compensate for their failure to take responsibility for their mistakes.Update: they further specified, directly to my mother, that they would not work with her to fix the watch because of this review. This amazes me! If I acted this unprofessional and targeted clients like this I would be fired immediately.

We bought our wedding bands here weeks before they moved to their new location! The owners are very friendly and professional. Their prices are fair and their customer service is stellar! I have brought them pieces to repair, sold them old jewelry, and brought family from out of state with their needs too. They ship! Do not hesitate to visit them. If they don't have it, they'll help you look. If they can't fix it, they will tell you the truth.

This Jewlers has been in business for 40+ years and they are some of the friendliness people I have met. I will always go back there if there is something I need.And they just recently moved to a new location just beyond the Stop and Shop plaza in West Haven.

Had stopped in a few months back to have my finger sized for a wedding band. They knew I wasn’t going to buy anything, yet they were very kind, sincere, and helpful. They even went as far as to get an opinion from each staff member, as my fingers are bony and difficult to gauge. A short, simple exchange that made the biggest day of my life less stressful. Brought my watch in to have metal band reattached on one side. Before going I tried myself but didn't have right size pin but I knew it could be done. The gentleman said he was pretty sure it couldn't be fixed because it wasn't designed to be reattached, he took it in back and a minute later said, yes, it couldn't be fixed. I mentioned I had it for a long time and he said well it served it's purpose etc. I soon realized it was pointless to continue and decided to order the pin size needed on ebay to the best of my measuring ability. Luckily they were the right size and after 5 minutes managed to reattach the band using no jewelry tools, just a small eyeglass screwdriver. I still don't know if he just didn't care to fix it or genuinely didn't know what he was doing, either way it's not good. Won't go there again.
